Rocki is a strong, independent, secure, no non-sense kind of woman. Rocki has had to deal with her share of traumas in the past, but has come out the other side a better person. She has great friends and a business that she loves, but knows she is missing something in her life. Rocki knows what that something is, but is afraid that she will never find it again. That is until the bell rings on the front door of her lingerie shop and in walks the perfect man. Fantasy Material is what she calls him. But that is what he must stay when she realizes he is her with his fiancé.
Cole Stanton only agreed to go Lush & Lace as support for Mara his fiancé and partner of the new lingerie shop coming to town. Cole knows that Mara only want to know who Lush & Lace use as their supplier. But Cole unprepared for what he finds at Lush & Lace. The owner of this shop is the total and complete opposite of everything Mara. Cole’s first thought of the beautiful brunette in the display window is Lush. Just like the name of her business.
At the annual auction Rocki’s best friend Lacey tricks her into put herself up on the auction block. The bidding begins and the bids start rising quickly. When Cole sees who’s on stage and he is draw to the stage. Before he knows what has happen he bids $5,000 for a date with the beautiful brunette on the stage. Rocki is blow away to see that Cole is the one, who has won the bid, but it is for a good cause and he is taken so everything will be okay. At least she hopes it will.
My Thoughts:
I love that Shiloh is able to show just how beautiful a strong, independent woman can be. Rocki is a role model for every woman out there. I completely fell in love with Rocki & Cole. Even with everything that Rocki has gone through she is willing to live, love and trust. Cole finally realizes that life is too short to settle for the things that are not good for him and goes after the things that he needs. The journey that Rocki & Cole share is a beautiful display of love and trust even in the darkest of times.
But I do have to say that I wanted more of them, I wanted to know more about their relationship, do they get married, and did they have kids….. Cole is so yummy, you just want to jump in the book and cuddle up to him. Rocki is the girl you would want as your best friend.
Shiloh does a great job of sucking me into the worlds that she writes and always leaves me wanting to know more about the characters, hoping that they will show up in the next book. I have truly enjoyed every book of Shiloh’s that I have read and Tempt Me was no different.
