BOOK SYNOPSIS:
Seared is the first of ten erotic romance short stories by Jacey Conrad and Gia Corona. The series focuses on the love lives of members of the Facile restaurant staff, each story centering around a different couple.
Remy Billodeaux is the king of his kitchen, master of all he surveys. He is accustomed to praise and accolades, to female patrons lining up to be his “flavor of the evening.” He was not accustomed to celebrity chefs, food critics and wannabe chefs intruding on his kingdom. And Sabine Devereaux is just the cherry on the sundae of a bad night. She can’t be intimidated. She can’t be outsmarted or outcooked. And she’s not falling for his usual flirty tricks.
Sabine is thrilled for the chance to shadow chef Remy, but she’s not pleased that her father used his position as an investor in Facile to arrange this favor for her. Remy pushes her to the limits of her skill and patience, but there’s no denying the heat they generate in the kitchen together. Will she resist Remy’s skills or throw herself from the fire and into the frying pan?

HOT!!!!
They say if you can’t handle the heat get out of the kitchen. That is so very true in SEARED the first book in the Facile Restaurant series. Remy is like any good chef and very protective of his kitchen. He is the boss and no one is going to invade his space. But when he get stuck one chef down he has to ask for help. Well he was not given much choice but to get help. Turns out one Ms. Devereaux is more than a tight body and a pretty face. She is one hell of a cook.
I want to tell you more. But this is such a short story that I could not bring myself to tell you what happens next. Just know that the boys of the Facile Restaurant are very bad. Bad in a very naughty way. Pick up a copy today!!!!

But I never imagined he would change my life. Bit by bit, I start to wonder if I’m the one discovering him…or if he’s uncovering me.

What happens when the man they call Saint, makes you want to sin?

REVIEW:
Let me start with the cover of this book. Like a lot!!!!
The title? Not as wild about. I almost passed up reading this story because of it (glad I didn’t).
This story is told from Rachel’s point of view, which I don’t normally enjoy first person. And I will admit that in the beginning I was on the fence about how I felt. I was honestly worried about the whole bad boy billionaire meets mild mannered young lady storyline. It seems like this storyline has been everywhere lately. But as the story progressed I really started enjoying more and more. Rachel and Malcolm are beyond yummy together. I really enjoyed the tug and pull between these two. But like every good story there has to be some kind of drama. And it is a big one filled with a lie that could ruin everything.
Than to add to the cherry to the top of the drama sundae Ms. Evans leaves us hanging. Oh how I hate unresolved issues at the end of a story. Now I must try to find my patients until book 2 comes out in July.
Oh and the cast of characters that hang around Malcolm and Rachel *rubs hands together*. Can’t wait to see what happens with them.

AUTHOR: Marie Harte
PUBLICATION DATE: March 24, 2015
ORDER LINKS:Amazon| B&N

BOOK SYNOPSIS:
Childhood rivals since grade school, Riley Hewitt and Anson Black have always tried to one-up the other. She’s pretty, smart, and focused. He’s arrogant, handsome and unbeaten. When Anson leaves town right after high school, Riley focuses instead on her grand passion—baking.

Fast forward a few years and she’s thinking of expanding her profitable business when her nemesis returns and decides to build his own restaurant—right next door to hers.

With the help of a large bottle of wine and her two best friends, Riley decides to get even with Anson. He’s still smug and annoying. But worse, he’s drop-dead sexy to boot.

A competition will prove who’s best, once and for all. But spending time together means getting to really know each other. Before long, Riley’s falling for the handsome entrepreneur, and her plans for revenge pale in comparison to how she feels about him.

But if she tells him she loves him, will that put the win in his column? If he doesn’t feel the same, she’s definitely going to lose. And she’s not sure she can afford to have her heart trampled on. Second place won’t cut it this time around

REVIEW:
4.5 Hearts They say revenge is sweet. But for Riley Hewitt revenge sure looks a lot like making out with your enemy in your best friends kitchen.

Gash, it feels like it has been forever since I was in the world of the Terrible Trio and the Best Revenge series. Through the first two books I really like the banter with Riley and Anson.
In Served Sweet we get to finally find out all the reasons why Riley and Anson have this bitter rivalry. It may have all started when they were kids. But Riley and Anson are still trying to win against each other. It makes for a pretty fun story. And to find out that Anson is really good at……. Well I can’t tell you that what is the fun in that. Let’s just say that Anson is really good at everything. Well almost everything. There is one thing he is not good at. Well at least not yet.

Love this whole series and can’t wait to see what Ms. Harte up her sleeve for her next series. If you have not started the Best Revenge series you really should. It is fun, sexy and make you rethink your thoughts on who you want to get revenge on.

He was hired to protect her.

Watching gorgeous Gwen Hawthorne wasn’t a hard job—but it certainly was tempting. He’d never wanted another woman the way he desired her. Hot. Intense. Consuming. Being so close to Gwen, Chance knew that he wouldn’t be able to resist her. So he gave into his need, her need, and he took them both to the edge of a dark and consuming desire.

But Chance soon realizes that he isn’t the only one watching Gwen. Someone else is out there, a stalker who won’t rest until Gwen is destroyed. Every day, every moment…Gwen is in danger. And Chance knows that if he can’t unmask the stalker, then he may just lose the only woman he has ever loved.

REVIEW:
3.5 Hearts I enjoyed Watch Me and am looking forward to the next two books in this series. I will say that the suspense was just a tad be off for me. I kinda had it figure out from the beginning. But then a wrench got thrown in there and I doubted myself for a minute. But I really did like Chance and his partners. I really liked Chance & Gwen together. Heck I even liked Ethan.

Watch Me was a quick read. I keep thinking I will read just one more chapter and before I knew it I was done. If you are a Cynthia Eden fan I think you will like this book.

Kelly reviews The Closer You Come by Gena Showalter

the closer you comeTITLE: The Closer you Come
SERIES #: The Original Heartbreakers #1
CHARACTERS: Jase Hollister & Brook Lynn Dillon
AUTHOR: Gena Showalter
PUBLICATION DATE: March 31, 2015
ORDER LINKS:Amazon| B&N

BOOK SYNOPSIS:
New York Times bestselling author Gena Showalter introduces the Original Heartbreakers, where three not-quite-reformed bad boys are about to meet the women who will bring them to their knees.

Just released from prison, Jase Hollister has only one goal: stay out of trouble. Strawberry Valley, Oklahoma, sounds like the perfect place for him and his two brothers-by-circumstance to settle down and live a nice, simple life. Model citizen isn’t exactly this rugged bachelor’s default setting—especially when it comes to a certain hot-blooded Southern beauty—but he’s determined to play by the rules.

Brook Lynn Dillon has always been the responsible type. Not that it’s done her much good. The down-on-her-luck waitress is broke, single and wouldn’t know fun if it bit her. Or so she thinks. Jase makes bad look oh, so good. Dangerous, sexy and tempting as sin, he is everything she never knew she wanted. Passion sizzles between them, but is it enough to melt his resistance? After all, the right kind of trouble might be just what he needs

REVIEW:
Ms. Showalter is a great story teller.
As The Closer you Come started I was not a Jase fan. Why you ask? Well, he was a bit of a dirt bag. That is all I am giving you. You will have to read to find out. But as the story went on and we got to see the real Jase. The Jase that doesn’t hold back and that loves fully I totally fell for him.
Brook Lynn is great. She puts up with so much and almost always stands tall (she is human and sometimes humans react stupidly). I love that when she counts people move. I loved how Brook Lynn handled all the boys (Jase, Beck and West). She is a master of all things. 🙂
There were times that the story was just a tad slow for me. But I think I blame my crazy life at the moment for making me take longer than I normally would to read this story. I really can’t wait for the next two books in this series. I can’t wait to see how Ms. Showalter wrangles Beck & West.

Kelly reviews Tamed by Stacey Kennedy

tamedTITLE: Tamed
SERIES #: Club Sin #5
CHARACTERS: Porter Marshall & Kenzie Hart
AUTHOR: Stacey Kennedy
PUBLICATION DATE: March 10, 2015
ORDER LINKS:Amazon| B&N

BOOK SYNOPSIS:
SA Today bestselling author Stacey Kennedy returns to the tantalizing world of Club Sin in an enticing novel of control and surrender.

Porter Marshall has nearly achieved his goal of becoming a Club Sin Master, but his new sub poses a much bigger challenge than he anticipated. Despite their mutual attraction and red-hot dungeon sessions, Kenzie Hart plays her own games. Her bratty, you-can’t-break-me attitude masks terrible personal hurt—pain that only the exquisite touch of a skilled Dom can release. But when Porter suggests taking their connection to the outside world, Kenzie denies him . . . which only makes him want her more.

Kenzie can’t ignore the raw, fierce bond she has with Porter. But she can’t give in to his dangerous demands, either. Is the passion they share real, or is he using her to solidify his status at Club Sin? And yet, who else can she trust with the shattering secrets she holds within? As Porter expertly brings her to the point of no return, Kenzie surrenders her body—and, piece by piece, her heart.

Tamed is an erotic romance intended for mature audiences.

REVIEW:
Another great story from Ms. Kennedy. Loved Porter when we first met him in Cora & Adian’s book. There was something about him that made you want to grab him and give him a big hug. Not that he would ever admit that he needs random hugs. Well except from Kenize. When it comes to Kenize, Porter will do just about anything.
Now that brings me to Kenize. Kenize is all tough and fierce when she is inside the walls of Club Sin, but outside she is anything but. So when she enters into this agreement with Porter, Kenize figures it will be like it always has been. She will mouth off and get what she wants. Only problem is that Porter Marshall doesn’t play by the rules.
I really enjoyed Porter and Kenzie’s story. Both have been looking for something for so long. Neither truly knowing what it was that they needed. But together they have found what completes them. Great story!!!!

Vince has never forgiven himself for the lie that ended things with Charlie. The spark between them is as hot as ever, and Vince would risk body and soul to make it a fire again. But as they hide deeper in Austin’s supernatural society—a world of lies, dark magic, and warring immortals—he finds the path to reconciliation more twisted than he’s ever imagined.

REVIEW:
**Warning**
This is a m/m romance so if you don’t like reading this genre I would stop here.

Stipping the Vampire was a good story. I don’t normally read m/m romances but I did enjoy Charlie & Vince’s story. I enjoyed the crazy world that Ms. Garren has created of vampires (both good and totally messed up). There was so much going on in this story. Myths, legends, crazy people, love, longing and an uncertain future.

rock hardTITLE: Rock Hard
SERIES #: Rock Kiss #2
CHARACTERS: Gabriel Bishop & Charlotte Baird
AUTHOR: Nalini Singh
PUBLICATION DATE: March 10, 2015
ORDER LINKS:Amazon| B&N

BOOK SYNOPSIS:
In New York Times Bestselling author Nalini Singh’s newest contemporary romance, passion ignites between a gorgeous, sinfully sexy man who built himself up from nothing and a shy woman who has a terrible secret in her past…

Wealthy businessman Gabriel Bishop rules the boardroom with the same determination and ruthlessness that made him a rock star on the rugby field. He knows what he wants, and he’ll go after it no-holds-barred.

And what he wants is Charlotte Baird.

Charlotte knows she’s a mouse. Emotionally scarred and painfully shy, she just wants to do her job and remain as invisible as possible. But the new CEO—a brilliant, broad-shouldered T-Rex of a man who growls and storms through the office, leaving carnage in his wake—clearly has other plans. Plans that may be equal parts business and bedroom.

If Charlotte intends to survive this battle of wits and hearts, the mouse will have to learn to wrangle the T-Rex. Game on.

KELLY’S REVIEW:
4.5 Hearts T-Rex is on the hunt. But this time the mouse has come armed with weapons. Lots and lots of weapons to take down the big bad T-Rex.

I was so very excited to get my hands on Gabriel and Charlie’s story. I had falling in love with Charlie in book 1 Rock Addiction. I knew from the moment Charlie stepped on the since she was a lot tougher than even she thought she was. In Rock Hard she proves that over and over again. And of course we can forget listening to Charlie talk about her horrible new boss to her best friend Molly.
Gabriel is most definitely a T-Rex kind of guy. But even T-Rex’s need love right? Or they need to be knock up side the head a few times. But either way Gabriel is nice on the eyes, a whiz at his job, bossy and a super nice guy who will do anything for those he loves.

I could keep going but I really want you to find out for yourself why Rock Hard is so far (because I hope there are lots more books) my favorite book of the series. :). If you liked the first two stories in the Rock Kiss series you will love Rock Hard. If you are new to the series never fear. Rock Hard can be read out of order (but I would suggest starting with book one).
Can’t wait to see what Ms. Singh has in store for this series next.

NATASHA’S REVIEW:
4 Hearts This was another great installment in this series. I loved Charlotte and Gabriel together. He’s such an intimidating yet loving leading character. I have to say, Charlotte’s behavior was frustrating me for a good portion of the book – however she began to grown on me after more of her background emerged. The supporting characters in this series continue to be intriguing and the relationships genuine. I love this series and will continue to read.

accidental werewolf 2TITLE: The Accidental Werewolf 2: Something about Harry

CHARACTERS: Harry Emerson & Mara Flaherty
AUTHOR: Dakota Cassidy
NARRATOR: Meredith Mitchell
AUDIO PUBLICATION DATE: July 21, 2014
RUN TIME: 10 Hours & 2 Minutes
ORDER LINKS:Amazon| B&N  | Audible

BOOK SYNOPSIS:
He’s in a furry situation.

Accountant Harry Ralph Emerson has always been a by-the-numbers kind of guy. But when he finds himself trapped at work sprouting an obscene amount of hair, he knows his odds for maintaining normalcy are zero to none. After a frantic internet search, Harry goes through the OOPS—Out in the Open Paranormal Support—checklist and comes to a disheartening conclusion: He’s turning into a werewolf and he needs help ASAP.

She might be the only solution.

Werewolf Mara Flaherty has long carried a torch for Pack Cosmetics’s sexy single accountant, even after her attempt to seduce him went down in flames. When her sister-in-law, Marty, shows up to handle Harry’s OOPS emergency, she tasks Mara with showing the hirsute hottie the ropes. But Mara knows Harry’s condition is a result of her lab experiment gone wrong—and the previously mild-mannered object of her affection is about to give her a piece of his mind…

REVIEW:
Mara Flaherty wants one thing. Well really she wants two, but the second thing will never come true after what she did at the christmas party last year. So back to only wanting one thing. A baby. So what does any brain beauty due? Why create a baby making formula. Only one problem. Mara didn’t drink it. Oh NO… that honor went to the number 2 thing that Mara wants. The hunky, brainy, totally not into Mara and very human Harry Emerson. One problem. Harry is no longer human. Oops…..

Another great story from Ms. Cassidy. And great narration by Ms. Mitchell. These two are a great combination. Ms. Cassidy with her witty, always with the funny, yet can bring me to tears stories. And Ms. Mitchell nailing every character to a T with how they should sound. I am so happy that I started this series on audio. I am looking forward to the next book in this series. Yay a Dragon 🙂 Can’t wait to start.

brashTITLE: Brash
SERIES #: The Cavanaugh Brothers #3
CHARACTERS: Cole Cavanaugh & Grace Hunter
AUTHOR: Laura Wright
PUBLICATION DATE: March 3, 2015
ORDER LINKS:Amazon| B&N

BOOK SYNOPSIS:
The New York Times bestselling author of the Cavanaugh Brothers novels returns to the Cavanaugh’s Texas Triple C ranch as the brothers confront the painful memories of their childhood and the truth about their sister’s murder…

Now, not only is he facing his arch enemy in the ring, he’s fighting to uncover the truth about Cass’s death. But will winning both fights truly give him the retribution and absolution he seeks? Or does he need the healing power of love to finally move on with his life?

The mystery surrounding Cass’s murder also haunts veterinarian Grace Hunter. Many believe that her father might hold the key to the truth. Unfortunately the ex-Sheriff’s deteriorating mental state makes it impossible to separate fact from fiction. As Cole persuades Grace to help him unlock the elusive clues, her defenses weaken. She finds the Stetson-wearing fighter irresistible. But while the truth could free Cole’s heart, it could very well end up shattering hers.

REVIEW:
Another good book in Ms. Wright’s Cavanaugh Brothers series. I have really liked Cole from the start and was so happy to read his book. He seems to be the one hurting and taking the blame the most in Cass’s murder. Cole puts on a front that he doesn’t care about anyone or anything (other than his sister and fightin. But in BRASH we get to see a new side to Cole. The side that shows he does care just a little bit. I have to say one of my favorite scenes is when Grace goes on a date with the Reverend and Cole’s reaction. Priceless 🙂 . In BRASH we learn more about what and who happened to Cass. I won’t give you more than that, because you know you need to read it and find out for yourself.
But this was a good story and I can’t wait to see what happens next with Blue’s story.

SERIES #: Mastered #3
CHARACTERS: Knox Lofgren & Shiori Hirano
AUTHOR: Lorelei James
PUBLICATION DATE: March 3, 2015

BOOK SYNOPSIS:
In this sizzling continuation of the Mastered series by New York Times bestselling author Lorelei James, a man will find the domination he’s always craved…

Shiori Hirano and Knox Lofgren are left to run the martial arts program at Black Arts while Ronin Black travels. On the surface, the two highest ranked belts appear to cooperate—but in private, they butt heads constantly, despite the undeniable attraction between them. Soon their power exchanges start to make for a sweltering dynamic in the bedroom…

At first Knox is shocked to be living out his submissive desires, but Shiori sets out to prove that embracing his true sexual nature doesn’t make him a weak man. But even while their sexual relationship grants him a power and fulfillment he finds surprising, there’s no training regimen for the fight that comes with loving a strong woman

REVIEW:
3.75 Hearts Wowza can Ms. James write a story. Unraveled kinda throws you for a loop by having the Dom/sub role reversed. But let me tell you it was a great story. I am not sure it would have worked with any of the other character so far in this series. But Knox and Shiori make it work and make it real. I will admit at times the story was a tad slow and I found myself wanting to skip forward. But then I was worried I would miss something. Needless to say I was very happy with Knox and Shiori’s journey of discovery.
I am already looking forward to the next book in this series.
