First Grave on the Right

Harley sees dead people. That’s right, she sees dead people. And it’s her job to convince them to “go into the light.” But when these very dead people have died under less than ideal circumstances (i.e. murder), sometimes they want Charley to bring the bad guys to justice. My Thoughts: 
This book made me laugh, cry, laugh, put me on the edge of my seat nervous and craving, OH CRAVING more Reyes, *sigh* Reyes.  As you can see from the picture above Reyes is beyond hot.  Thank you Picky Me for allowing me to use your picture.  I don’t want to give to much away but lets just say if you don’t like this book, Charley or Reyes then you are out of your ever loving mind. Charley and Reyes are beyond HOT!!!
I didn’t want this story to end and now I have to wait for the next book Second Grave on the Left (August 2011).  But I know it is going to be so worth the wait.

My Thoughts:
I loved this book so very much.  Huge, THANK YOU to Regan Hastings for writing this book. I can’t wait for book two Visions of Skyfire.
Shea has lived the last 10 years on the run, hiding, living in fear that someone will find her, but not just anyone the MP (Magic Police). If they find her she will meet the same fate as her aunt, death.  Just when Shea thinks she has finally found a safe place everything changes and she is on the run again.  Only this time she doesn’t make it very far.  She is attacked in the middle of the day; in a desperate attempt to get away she sets her attacker on fire, but not with a match or a lighter.  She did it, the fire came from her.  But now she has even more problems a crowd has gathered around her and they are out for blood.  Her blood.  Shea can hear the siren of the MP’s coming of her.  Right before the crowd attacks a man appears out of the fire and takes her away.  But is he friend or foe?
Torin has watch over Shea in all of her life’s.  He has been very patient with her all of these times. Sometimes they are together other times they are a part, but Torin is always there close by. Waited for Shea to come into her power and then he can claim what is his. Shea. The time has finally arrived.  The awakening has started, but will Torin be able to keep Shea safe? Or will he be too late to save her?  Never!  Torin had not meant for them to meet like this, but fate has other plans for them, and Torin has no more time to wait.  Shea has always been his, always will be his and he will not let the MP’s or anyone ever take her from him again.

My Thoughts:
Okay, Reyes………. (don’t mind me while I drool)
Reyes is the keeper of the demon of pain.  Reyes has experienced every type of pain anyone can image. Yet the pain he feel being a part from Danika is more then he can bear.  Danika knows she can’t go back.  She has to keep moving forward or they will get her.  Although she is not sure who they she should be more afraid of.  Her feeling for a demon or the demon himself.

Reyes and Danika have to learn to trust one another even if they don’t want too.  Reyes is willing to do anything and I do mean anything to keep Danika safe and away from the Hunter’s that want to hurt her, her family and the rest of the Lord’s.  But is Danika being here going to be with the Lords going to do more harm then good.  Only time and the truth will tell.

My Thoughts:

Oh I so love Gena’s Lords. This is book 2 of the series and Lucien is one of my favorite characters.  And boy does Lucien have his hands full with not only being the keeper of Death, and the leader of the Lord’s of the Underworld but also with the oh so spicy and feisty Anya.  These two are so smokey hot together.  But are they both willing to risk everything everything to save the other and will that sacrifice be to little and to late.

If you have not read any of Gena Showalter’s Lords of the Underworld what are you waiting for?  I would encourage you to go out and pick up book 1 The Darkest Night (read my review here) and give the Lords a try…

I’m Back

Been on Vacation for a week, Maui if anyone wants to hate   😀  and have a lot of updating to do…….
I read 9 stories on my vacation. 4 where short stories, 3 where novellas and 2 full stories… I will be finishing up book 10 tonight… That means I have at least 10 reviews to get done… But at last I am still behind by 4 so I now have 14 reviews to do…

So I will be updating my books read list, my reviews and a few other things on my blog…..

My Thoughts:
I am not sure that it gets any better then when the Warden writes a book… While Payne and Manny was not my favorite book in the series (I still loved this book), this book opens up so many doors for so many books which is what we all want.  I am looking forward to the next book for sure Tohrment needs his HEA.  ♥ ♥ ♥
Manny and Payne are hot together that is for sure.  He is so understanding and loving towards Payne.  I look foward to see this couple grow and how Manny and the Brotherhood handle her being out in the field.  I also am very thankful to have so much Vishous in this book. He grows so much that I think he will never quite be the same again.  I am sure he will still be all dark and scary, but we know now that he does have a softer side.  
And are Butch and Vishous are finally dating?
Well I guess you will just have to read to find out the answer to that question…….
So guess what I have an extra Hardback copy of Lover Unleashed…. hhhmmmmm what should I do with it???   I know I will do a giveaway…

Natasha’s Thoughts:
From the very beginning this story had my heart beating out of my chest, I was kept on edge the whole time never knowing what was going to happen next. Amun and Haidee share an unexplainable connection that goes so much deeper than either of them could imagine or fight. They have so many obstacles in their way and it not only affects the two of them but also all those they’ve ever loved. How will they overcome all of this to be together? Should they even try to be together? Gena does an amazing job of intertwining their stories together with an outcome no one will see coming! It changes the Lords forever! She also continues to build on the world of all of the other beloved characters in the series, which leaves you desperate to know more! I for one am hooked for life, I need the whole story now!! Cannot wait for the next book in the series, if history is anything to go by it will no doubt be heart stopping amazing!!

My Thoughts:

Lisa creates a world of good and evil, but not everything that looks evil is or maybe evil is really just evil?  This story tugged at my heart strings, mad me very upset for the stubborn nature of our hero and cheered for the bravery of our heroine.
 Michael and Cassandra are so perfect for each other but there are forces that they can’t control that don’t want them to be together.   There are plenty of secrets to go around all of which would and could destroy everything.  But when the secrets are finally revealed will Michael and Cassandra still be standing or with the forces against them win?
I SO enjoyed this book.  Special THANK YOU to Lisa for giving me a chance to read and help her promote her new series.  I am already looking forward to the next two books in this series.

My Summary:
When Chase returned home after 15 years he only has one thing on his mind.  Zoe.  The girl he left behind, his high school sweetheart and the love of his life.  He should have never left town or maybe taken her with him, but he didn’t, he just turned and ran away from everything that was ever important to him.
Zoe has always been a small town girl; she was a cheerleader in high school and fell in love with the football captain.  Everything was perfect until Chase just up and left and Zoe’s world crashed all around her.  15 years later Zoe is happily married and not longer thinks about Chase, well almost never. 
But now that Chase is back in town.  Zoe loves her husband and would never leave him, not even for the true love of her life.   But never say never sometimes fate has its own plan.
My Thoughts:
I so enjoyed this book.  I was lucky to get a chance to read A Forever Kind of Love before it comes out in April 26.  Huge THANK YOU to Shiloh Walker and her assistant Nicole!!!
A Forever Kind of Love takes you on an emotional journey of love found  and lost, finding happiness when you never thought you could, incredible heart break and the true meaning of a forever love.  
If you want to read a short story with lots of emotional ups and downs this is the story for you.

How do you pick your next book?

So one of my follow book nut was looking over my list of books I have read so far this year and wanted to know how I pick my next book.  Well I don’t really have a way. I just kinda pick.  I know amazing huh?   But normally if I start a series I read the whole series before I start a new book.  But this year is not working out like that. I have received a few more ARC’s this year and books I have been asked to review. So therefore I feel that I need to get those done right away (got to keep the authors and publisher good side)….. but with over 300+ books to choice from sometimes I do struggle picking my next book..

Touched by an Alien by Gini Koch

My Summary:

Katherine “Kitty” Katt had found herself in the middle of something that she never knew existed.  Now her whole world is turned upside down when the Uber Gorgeous Jeff Martini and Christopher White show up and let her in on a little secret.  There are Aliens on her plant and not all of them are friendly.

Surrounded by drop-dead gorgeous men and women Kitty has to find a way to save the world, the people she loves all without losing her life or her heart in the process.  But is Kitty strong enough to lead this team in the fight against evil and fight her feelings for Martini and Christopher.
My thoughts:
Oh man did I ever enjoy this book!!  I have not read many sci-fi stories but I am hookedon this series.  Gini has created a world with so many elements, so many layers and so much going on that I can’t wait to get to the next book to find out what happens… I love that Jeff Martini (Super Hot Alien), knows what he wants the minute he sees Kitty.  He knows she is his future, even if he is not sure why.   Kitty on the other hand is independent, stubborn and controlling.  Jeff challenges here every step of the way.  Throw in Jeff’s equally HOT cousin Christopher (whom I am totally in love with), who also has a thing for Kitty.  Add two hot aliens and one human and you have one confused human girl and way too much testosterone and tension.    But true love always wins in the end right?  Well I guess you will have to read to find out.
