Eternal Rider by Larissa Ione

They are here. They ride. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. His name is Ares, and the fate of mankind rests on his powerful shoulders. If he falls to the forces of evil, the world falls too. As one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, he is far stronger than any mortal, but even he cannot fight his destiny forever. Not when his own brother plots against him.

Yet there is one last hope. Gifted in a way other humans can’t-or won’t-understand, Cara Thornhart is the key to both this Horseman’s safety and his doom. But involving Cara will prove treacherous, even beyond the maddening, dangerous desire that seizes them the moment they meet. For staving off eternal darkness could have a staggering cost: Cara’s life.

My Thoughts:

We get to meet the four horsemen in this first book, well 3 horsemen and 1 horsewoman. Ares is War, Reseph is Pestilence, Limos is Famine, and Thanatos is Death.  While this first book is all about Ares and his journey, I find that I am pulled to Reseph and all his badness… Pestilence is beyond bad in this book, but I hold out hope for him.
Ares must find a way to protect himself and his seal.  If Ares’ seal is broken he will unleash every type of evil on to the world. During his journey he runs into a human that will hold his fate and the world’s fate in her hands.  But is this fragile, small, and helpless human strong enough to help Ares, his brother and sister save the world?  Even if it is only for today?
Cara finds herself sucked into a world that she never could have dreamed was real. Now she is in the middle of a war between the forces of good and evil.  Cara is the queen on the chess table that everyone is trying to capture.  But how much will she have to sacrifice in order to save herself and the people she has grown to care about?
Larissa has done it AGAIN!!!! I am so in love with this new series.  The Lords of Deliverance is a spinoff of The Demonica Series.  If you have not read the Demonica series shame on you.  There are 5 books in this series and there is going to be 4 in the Lords of Deliverance Series, and who know what will happen after that.  Go over to Larissa’s website and check out The Demonica series and the Uber hot characters there.
Oh how I love Larissa and her worlds she has created.  I love that we got to see a few clips of some of the characters from the Demonica series too…  I so can’t wait for Limos’ book Immortal Rider which comes out in December.  Here is her cover along with a little blurb about her book.
Sexy, powerful, and immortal, Limos is on a crash course with destiny. She’s been marked as Satan’s bride and her jealous fiancé wants her all to himself. The only way this Horseman can keep herself—and everyone else—safe is to keep her distance. But not even Limos can save herself from the secrets she’s kept . . . or resist the seductive allure of one very brave human.
Arik Wagner knows the saying “love hurts” better than most, yet he never thought stealing a kiss from Limos would land him in Hell. Literally. It takes all his military training to survive the demon torture, but once he’s topside, Arik realizes that the agony has just begun. With the Apocalypse looming and Satan demanding his bride, will Arik and Limos surrender to the desire smoldering between them? Or will giving in to their passion unleash hell on earth?

Rod Pendergrandt, Lola’s boss, likes things a certain way, too. When Lola slips up, he feels it his duty to deliver the kind of punishment that Lola needs. Sometimes he even has to take Lola’s punishment into the boardroom—behind closed doors and in executive session.

My Thoughts:

Oh Me, OH MY!!!!! This story was GOOD…. Ms. Lola Jefferson has been a very bad girl.  Her job is to balance the books and she is off by 5 cents.  Now she must report to her boss for punishment.  And OH what a punishment it is.

This is a great story about Dom’s and Sub’s.  If you like Dom/Sub stories then you better report to the Boardroom.

Dirty tid-bit:

“Oh, one thing Lola, and this is important.” Rod told her. “No, matter what, you are not to come. Understood?”

Interview with Dirty Bits Author Ingrid Michaels

Welcome to Dirty Bits Week Ingrid
I am so glad that we were able to get you involved in Dirty Bits week… Also huge THANK YOU for sitting down with me and answering a few questions.
For the Love of Books: Ingrid, please tell us a little about yourself?
Ingrid: Hi, everyone! It’s my pleasure to be here Kelly and I thank you for having me. I was born and raised in Canada, and I’ve migrated west over the years, leaving my eastern province roots for Ontario. I attended university in Toronto, a fantastic city *waves Canadian flag*, where I picked up a couple of Philosophy degrees and a Significant Other! Now you can add another answer to the age-old question: what do you do with a Masters in Philosophy degree? Why, you become a romance/erotica writer! *Laughs* Since then we’ve moved out of the big city to a more rural area to raise our family, which consists of one boy and one dog.
FLB: What made you become a writer?
Ingrid: For one, I’ve always been a voracious reader. And also, this applies to university as well, what attracted my ADD kind of personality to Philosophy and writing was the fact that I can study and research so many different things at once. Having said that, however, I’m not committed to any one genre of writing. I write literary novels, romance/mainstream and erotica. I love the fact that I’m not limited by anything other than my imagination.
FLB: In your story, Sorelle’s Orgasm, what inspired you to write this story?
Ingrid: *Grins mischievously* Art is my first passion and I like to include some aspect of it in all, or most, of my writing. And although I’ve never posed nude for a portrait, for this story I tried to put myself inside this young woman’s body and head, to feel the insecurities she might have felt while being stared at for hours, the flattery of being asked to pose, the chance to make a quick buck and to also enjoy herself, too. And the power she must’ve felt, since the painting was totally based on her. I made the story paranormal by asking: what would Sorelle really feel like if there was that extra connection between artist and model, if she could actually feel those brush strokes on her skin without Witman touching her? There’s just a hint of BDSM in the way she poses and has to stay still for hours while all these things are happening to her.
FLB: What is in your current Work in Progress pile?
Ingrid: My current WIP pile is practically toppling over with work. It includes many things, starting with something new for me (there’s that ADD at play again), a young adult novella that I’m hoping to have adapted into a graphic novel. I like the characters and the story arc seems strong enough that I’m giving serious thought to turning it into a novel-length piece. I’m also finishing work on a M/M story (my first), and I’m starting to work on a romantic comedy novel I outlined a couple of years ago. AND I have several sensual romance novellas I’m looking forward to editing and getting out. So my plate is pretty full, but that’s how I like it. I’m never bored!
FLB: What is in your To Be Read pile?
Ingrid: My reading tastes vary greatly. I’m always hungry for the latest Chris Bohjalian and Douglas Coupland novels, and I’m actively reading my way through Anita Shreve and Ian McEwan’s backlists. As you can see, I have a thing for reading about broken relationships, although my own fictional characters seem to get along quite well in my stories (wink, wink).
FLB: Anything else you want to share?
Ingrid: Yes. I’d like to give away a free copy of Sorelle’s Orgasm to the ninth caller… er… I mean, to someone who can correctly answer a question based on my excerpt. I’ll choose a winner at random from the correct answers.
Here’s the excerpt:
When it started to rain half an hour later Sorelle found herself in Witman’s studio, drinking a flinty Australian Chardonnay, her blouse and wool skirt discarded on an overstuffed chair.
The studio smelled of paint thinner and paint, but otherwise looked clean, except for all the paint droppings on the floor around the easel. Different-sized paintings, some finished, others only sketched out, were stacked alongside each other and leaned against every wall.
“So, you really think I have wonderful bone structure?” she asked, repeating Witman’s pickup line. She’d heard worse, but secretly hoped it wouldn’t take too long to find out if the tall man was a decent lover. She still had to get home, do two loads of wash, vacuum the apartment, and then get ready to meet friends at a nightclub.
Witman, dressed in a flowing artist’s smock that looked like Joseph’s amazing Technicolor dreamcoat, sporting more colorful stains than clean areas, propped a large canvas against the easel. “Not just your bones, but your green eyes, blond hair, almost oval face. Those cheekbones! You’re the perfect package.” He whistled tunelessly while wrapping his black hair into a manageable ponytail.
Finished with the task, he approached her, sitting beside her clothes in the large chair, quietly drinking wine. He looked her up and down, critically assessing her body, and Sorelle was glad she exercised regularly. She remained modestly clad in shimmering black bra and matching underwear and wondered what the artist was thinking about. He nodded and stroked his beard, as if to calm Sorelle for choosing to accompany a stranger to his apartment.
** *

I hope this wets your… whistle. The question I’d like readers to answer, for a chance to win a free copy of Sorelle’s Orgasm, is: name three of Witman’s physical characteristics. That’s all there is to it! Good luck!

FLB: In Sorelle’s Story… Please tell me what the heck Witman is….. No? okay fine….
Can you tell me how you came up with this story? and will we see Witman in any future stories?
Ingrid: Well, I love looking at art. In particular, I’ve always enjoyed the Abstract Expressionists of the fifties and the sixties, you know, Jackson Pollock, De Kooning, Rothko, all those New York artists. So one day, while I was sitting on a bench in an art gallery, I stared at one of those wild canvases, full of swirls and colors, and I thought to myself, that might just be how an artist would paint an orgasm. Don’t laugh, Kelly! You can’t tell me you’ve never wondered about this! So between the art, and exploring the artist/model dynamic, things just sort of fell into place. Will we see more of Witman? *Grins* He just might pop up somewhere else. I could see him maybe in a college setting, teaching an erotic romance class…
FLB Last Question: What did you think of Dirty Bits Week? If all goes well I would love to host another Dirty Bits week and I hope to have another of your stories to feature.
Ingrid: I’ve had a great time following some of my favorite Dirty Bits authors during Dirty Bits Week, and I would encourage everyone to come and learn a bit more about these wonderful, talented story-tellers. I think it’s a great idea, and I’m thrilled that you’ve given us this opportunity to connect with readers!
Ingrid, if the readers wanted to learn more about you where can they find you?  Website? Blog? Facebook? Twitter?
I can be reached at the following places:
And I also hang out at Goodreads, Manic Readers and Shelfari.
Again Huge THANK YOU to Ingrid for doing this interview with me.
The pleasure was all mine, Kelly. Thank you for having me.
FLB:  Don’t forget to answer Ingrid’s Questions for a chance to win a copy of Sorelle’s Orgasm

#10 Sorelle’s Orgasm by Ingrid Michaels

Sorelle’s Orgasmby Ingrid Michaels

When Sorelle’s Saturday shopping is interrupted by Witman, an artist who claims he just has to capture her wonderful bone structure, she thinks she’s heard better pickup lines. She agrees to pose for him because her horoscope told her she would have an adventurous day, and who is she to pass up an afternoon romp?

But the handsome bohemian really does want her to pose for him! As the painting session goes on and Witman’s sensuous brushstrokes push her over the edge, a desperate Sorelle must eventually take matters into her own hands.

My Thoughts:
I enjoyed this story. Loved the twist at the end!  Let me tell you I was left with a lot of questions. A big WFT just happened at the end.  But it was a great story. Never saw this ending coming.  I hope that Ingrid will continue this story line I would love to learn more about Witman.  Maybe give me a few more answers.
It is amazing what an artist can capture in a piece of art work. Come check out how Witman captures Sorelle.
Dirty tid-bit:
Her eyes flew open at the sound of her throaty cry and she came to, suddenly aware she was touching herself.

Interview with Dirty Bits Author Darby York

Welcome to Dirty Bits Week Darby.
Darby, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy life to sit down and talk to me about your Dirty Bits story The Bridegroom.  I really enjoyed this story.  Just love it when people have to struggle to realize that they are in love.
For the love of Books: Darby, can you tell us a little about yourself?
Darby: I believe my past lives have prepared me to write historical romance. I am happily married in this lifetime, dabble in the metaphysical, and rescue stray cats and dogs.
FLB: When did you know you wanted to be a writer?
Darby: Writing comes naturally for me. Maybe I told stories around the fire in another lifetime. I’ve been told by a medium that I channel the stories I write. All I know is that it’s in my blood.
FLB: What is it about Medieval times that you enjoy?
Darby: It’s like a fantasy, but real. I try to depict the harshness of the time and the lack of control for women, who require courage just to meet their daily challenges. Hey, that’s like all of us today, don’t you think?
Strangely, my writing “voice” changes when I write a Medieval.
In your story The Bridegroom we see the struggle the bride and groom go through to find a little happiness with an arranged marriage. What inspired you to write this story?
Most marriages were arranged. Ironically, a widow held power a married or unmarried woman didn’t hold. I find it interesting to explore the situation women found themselves in. What would I have done if I had been forced to marry for dynastic reasons?
FLB: What are you currently working on Darby?  Any more Dirty Bits in you future?
I’m currently working on another novella that I call The Betrothed, exploring another facet of an arranged marriage. What happens if one party doesn’t give consent? It didn’t happen often back then, but it did happen.
FLB: Anything else you want to share?
The Bridegroom is my first foray into writing a Dirty Bits story. Thank you, Turquoise Morning Press for giving me the chance to explore and grow.
FLB: Last Question:  What did you think of Dirty Bits week?
Darby: I think it’s terrific that you have hosted the week. Dirty Bits stories are unique, I think, and I’m glad to participate.
Darby, If the readers wanted to learn more about you where can they find you? Website, Facebook? Twitter? Blog?
Currently, my social media presence consists of an e-mail address. You can e-mail at darby@darbyyork.com.
Huge THANK YOU to Darby for doing this interview with me.  I look forward to reading more of your stories.

My Thoughts:

Sometimes the one you should hate ends up being the one you love the most.  I did enjoy this story. Who doesn’t love a man who knows what he wants and won’t take no for an answer. Although I would say it is the least dirty of the Dirty Bits I read, it was a great story. I would love to learn more about this characters and hopes that Darby will bring them back in the future.   If you love a little medieval love story, then you will enjoy this one.
Dirty little tidbit for you:
His threat frightens me.  I stare at his back watching him strip off his tunic and braes. Soon he stands stark naked before me.

Interview with Dirty Bits Author Lexie Donovan

Welcome to Dirty Bits Week Lexie.
I am so honored you would take time out of your busy life to sit down with me and answer a few of my questions. The honour is all mine J
Can I tell you that I loved your story In The Park.  A dark park will never look the same for me after reading your story. Thank you! I enjoyed writing it.
For the love of Books: Lexie, can you tell us a little about yourself?
Lexie: Sure. As my bio says I’m a Welsh girl gone bad so I totally live in a castle with a herd of sheep in the nearby field. 😉 I’m actually an editor under another name and a stay at home housewife under another!
FLB: Have you always wanted to be a writer?
Lexie: For as long as I can remember I was making up stories and all my siblings and I played make-believe games with full blown story lines. I think I was born to be a writer because even when I tried to be other things I kept coming back to it.
FLB: What do you find is the best thing about being a writer?
Lexie: I love that you can make entire worlds come to life just from putting words on a page and that other people can experience that world from that. I think that’s the best thing a person can do.
FLB: As I said before ‘In The Park’ is a wonderful story. How did you come up with the idea? Personal experience? *Big Grin*
Lexie: Thank you! I would never write from experience of course. The idea came to me as a “what if” sort of fantasy. What would be the most dangerous thing you could get away with doing in public? I think my story reflects that 😀
FLB: What are you currently working on Lexie?  Any more Dirty Bits in you future?
Lexie: I’m currently working on my next Dirty Bit, to be released in July. It’s an f/f story with a highly emotional theme and some steamy scenes.
FLB: What is the best piece of advice you got when you started writing?
Lexie: I have been given so much advice that it’s hard to pick just one. I think the one that every writer needs to stick to is this, “never give up”. Every writer who ever lived was rejected and it only takes one person to say yes.
FLB: Anything else you want to share?
Lexie: Thank you for having me and I hope other people read and enjoy In The Park as much as you did.
FLB: Last Question:  What did you think of Dirty Bits week?
Lexie: I love it and would gladly come back for another week to share our short sexy stories with your readers
If all goes well I would like to do another Dirty Bits week in the future.  I hope that Lexie will have more stories for us too.
Lexie, If the readers wanted to learn more about you where can they find you? Website, Facebook? Twitter? Blog?

My thoughts…..
OH MY *WIDE EYES*
If you need a little dirty read for your day Lexie delivers.  Since this is a short story I won’t give away too much.  But let’s just say there is a Park, it is Dark, there is a Tree, two people and a promise of a whole lot of Hot Sex……
I enjoyed this short story… I was hot from the very beginning and stayed hot all the way to the end.  Lexie has a great way of getting your blood pumping and leaves you wanting more. The ending was just perfect.  I am not sure I can walk in a park at night now and not think of this story.
Dirty little tidbit:
“I’m going to do what I want to you. And nobody here will be able to stop me.  But they’ll all hear your screams”
Are you tempted yet?

Interview with Dirty Bits Author AE Connelly

Welcome to Dirty Bits Week A.E.
I am so pumped you would take time out of your busy life to sit down with me and answer a few of my questions.
I have to start by saying I love the two stories that I read Precisely at Dusk and High Rise.
For the Love of Books: A.E., can you tell us a little about yourself?
A.E. Thanks. I am really glad you liked the stories.
As far as me, I’m middleaged, middle income and pretty boring—the whole nine yards of middle class suburbia. Though I do have a wicked imagination. What goes on in my head would probably shock some of my neighbors in my ‘hood.
FLB: I have a bone to pick with you.  Precisely at Dusk was not long enough.  I know, I know it is a short story.  But I really want to know what happens the rest of the weekend. Will we see any more of these characters in the future?
A.E.: Well, I have toyed with the idea of revisiting this story. One option was to expand it into more of a novella, picking up where the scene leaves off.  The other idea was to write the continuation from the sub’s POV.   Maybe I will.
*crosses fingers* I hope so!!!
FLB: The second short story that I read was High Rise.  I am not sure I will ever be able to walk by a tall building without looking up and looking for… Well maybe I shouldn’t say anymore I want the readers to find out themselves. Again will we see any more of these characters in future stories?
A.E. : I’m glad the story made an…er, favorable impression. I think the Mistress and Pet  from this story may show up again.
FLB: How do you come up with the ideas for you stories?
A.E.—Lots of alcohol and a helpful devilish muse.
Ok, I guess that won’t cut it. The simplest way to explain it is that usually my imagination will kick out some kernel of an idea. Usually, it may be a snippet of a scene, just a slice. For example, PRECISELY AT DUSK started out with an image of a woman standing on a doorstep in an overcoat with nothing else on underneath, chewing on her lip as she debated about ringing a doorbell. That image was the start. Then the image came of the man in the window watching her. The fact that he was dressed so normal and so average, yet in the image I knew…just as authors know sometimes, I intuitively knew he was going to control her. And that image intrigued me. The image of a Dom, not in leather in a dungeon, but understatedly dressed wielding control so confidently.
HIGH RISE was another image—it was of a naked man standing in front of a window in tall building while a Domme was controlling him.
FLB: What are you currently working on?  Any more Dirty Bits in future?
A.E. Well, Life has been hindering my writing time (damnable responsibilities!). I have been working on a couple more erotica short stories which hopefully might find their way to Dirty Bits in the near future. I’ve also been toying with an idea of a “theme” collection of interconnected stories involving a small-town healthclub/gym and its naughty members.
I am also working on an erotic suspense novella involving a prosecutor and cop stranded in a remote snowbound area. Of course, there are badguys from the case they are working together coming around, and the two are attracted to each other, but they both are consummate professionals and don’t show that attraction to each other—well, they resist the attraction. For awhile.
FLB: What is the worst piece of advice anyone has ever gave you about becoming a writer?
AE.—The worst bit of writing advice? Actually, I have two. One was a writing instructor who thought you should only write “serious” (i.e.-literary) fiction. I think that’s nonsense, write what you want to write.
The other worse piece of advice is ‘write what you know.’  I mean, really do most authors write about what they know? Do science fiction authors KNOW about outer space or strange societies? Do crime writers really know about serial killing (I hope not) from personal experience? No.
I think the “write what you know” is tossed out without much thought to it.
I think the better advice would be to write what you understand (story wise), and I mean to fully understand the construct or genre. Write what interests you. Write the story that you should write. But also, if you are writing in a genre, then you should know that genre and its constructs.
FLB: Anything else you want to share?
Writing, and in reading erotica, I tend to be drawn to the BDSM themed stories. One thing I’ve noticed is that with a lot of publishers there tends to be plenty of Male Dominant BDSM themed stories, but not as many Female Domme ones, and I wonder why? Look through most of the erotica and erotic romance publishers lines and you find plenty of ‘kink’ but when you look closer, there tends to be mostly female submissive stories. And I wonder if that’s because of the demand of the audience preference?  Author preference?  Or publisher beliefs?
Personally, I like reading stories ‘from either side of the crop,’ so to speak.
Last Question:  What did you think of Dirty Bits week?
A.E. : I like Dirty Bits week. What a great idea.
A.E., If the readers wanted to learn more about you where can they find you? Website, Facebook? Twitter? Blog?
Alas, I don’ t have a website nor do I Twitter, blog or Facebook—honestly, I have a hard enough time finding time to devote to writing. I do, however, like to hear from readers and can be reached at AlexEConnelly@yahoo.com.
Huge THANK YOU to A.E. for doing this interview with me.  I look forward to reading more of your stories.

A fantasy finally revealed, but will she be able to handle all that comes with it or will she crack under the pressure?
When the doorbell rings it is time to step up to the plate or back down.
I enjoyed this story.  Who doesn’t have a fantasy they wanted to fulfill, but not everyone has the means or the friends to help them.  AE Connelly does a great job with the BDSM topic in both of these stories.  And just like any good Dom, he leaves us craving and wanting more.
Come take a trip up the elevator to the top of the High Rise and see if you can handle living out a fantasy.

My Thoughts:

Would she be able to do it?  She was not 100% sure she could, but still she found herself standing outside the door getting ready to ring the doorbell.  She had always wanted to know what it would be like.  There is a fine line between fear and desire.  This is her chance to find out what side of that line she is on.

OH ME, OH MY!!!! *Fanning myself*

This story was not nearly long enough for me. I was intrigued from the get go, but at last like every good short story it ended way too soon for me.

If you are not afraid of a little bondage, a little domination then this short story is for you.

Dirty little tidbit for you:
“This weekend you will do things only when I command you to,” I ordered “And I will do anything I want to you,” I said. I slid my foot underneath……
