Until she meets her match in a wild, wild cowboy

Veterinarian August Fletcher has always put his job first. He’s never found a woman who could handle his on-the-road lifestyle. But when sassy, sexy Tanna blows into town, he finally finds the woman of his fantasies. And there’s something between them, but she claims she’s been burned by love ’em and leave ’em road dogs before. How can Fletch prove that he’s in it for the long haul, and that their sizzling relationship is better than winning any rodeo medal? It’ll take some sweet persuasion to convince Tanna that Muddy Gap is where she belongs.

REVIEW:
This was just an okay book for me. Maybe I should have read the books before this one. I am not sure. I just never really connected with the characters, the world and the whole story in general. It was not a bad story and I like the cast of characters. It just didn’t grab me and suck me in.
I am sure that Lorelei fans will really enjoy this book and I hope that they do.

Kelly reviews Midnight Games by Elle Kennedy

Midnight Games

TITLE: Midnight Games
SERIES #: Killer Instincts #3
CHARACTERS: Trevor Callaghan & Isabel Roma
AUTHOR: Elle Kennedy
PUBLICATION DATE: August 6, 2013
ORDER LINKS: Amazon | B&N

BOOK SYNOPSIS:
She wears a thousand deadly identities. He sees through them all.

A master of disguise, Isabel Roma spends her life pretending to be other women. Normally, her emotions are reined in tight—but sexy mercenary Trevor Callaghan has a knack for getting under her skin. The elite operative’s quiet strength and raw magnetism affect her in ways she’s never felt before, a distraction that can quickly turn deadly in their dangerous line of work.

After putting his tragic past behind him, Trevor is ready to focus on his future—and he damn well intends for Isabel to be in it. When their entire operation is thrown into chaos, Trevor enlists Isabel’s talent for deception. And as they attempt to save their team in a world where the stakes are high and the danger is grave, Trevor must convince Isabel that the woman beneath all the disguises is the one worth having.

REVIEW:
3.5 Stars Ahh Trevor & Isabel’s story. Words that come to mind are stubborn, determined and a never say die attitude. This is what you get from these two. They are both so stubborn and determined but for very different reasons.
Trevor is a man on a mission to get Isabel to see that there is way more to them then she thinks there is. And this time Trevor is not going to let her run away from him, no matter what he has to do.
Isabel may come off as tough. She may be one of the best chameleons out there. But the one thing that scares her to death is Trevor Callaghan. And for a very good reason, Trevor makes her feel.
This was a good story. Parts were a little slow. But overall I enjoyed Trevor & Isabel’s story. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

Kelly & Kimberly review Surrender To Sultry by Macy Beckett

Surrender to Sultry

TITLE: Surrender to Sultry
SERIES: Sultry Springs #3
CHARACTERS: Colton Bea & Leah McMahon
AUTHOR: Macy Beckett
PUBLICATION DATE: August 6, 2013
ORDER LINKS: Amazon | B&N

BOOK SYNOPSIS:
Leah McMahon is back in Sultry Springs, Texas to help her dad recover from surgery. But there’s a new sheriff in town and he’s none other than Colton Bea, the wild-as-weeds boy who stole her heart a decade earlier.

Colt’s a changed man, and the feelings between these high school sweethearts are stronger than ever. But Leah’s got a secret so devastating that he may never forgive her. Can she find a way to earn absolution and build a future with the sultry man she’s loved half her life?

KELLY’S REVIEW:
Loved this book. Colt is so sad and damaged and the only person on the plant that can help him has been gone for 10 long years. But just when he thinks life will be filled with nothing but loneliness and pain Leah came tearing back into his life. But Leah wants nothing to do with Colt. And she has a very good reason why and a secret that could tear them apart yet again.
These two have such a heartbreaking story. So much pain over such a long time. If they could have just talked, if they could have been smarter, if they could have been more grown up. But that is really hard to do when you are young and in lust. Sometimes you have to lose everything in order to learn and sometimes it takes you two times of losing everything before you really learn what is most important.

I just love this series and I am sad that this is the last book in the Sultry Springs Trilogy (at least for now I hope). I was so happy and honored to get an early copy of Surrender to Sultry. If you are a fan of the 1st two Sultry Springs book (Sultry with a Twist (Sultry Springs, Book 1) & A Shot of Sultry (Sultry Springs book 2) you will surely love Colt’s book. If you have not read this trilogy yet. I would suggest starting from the beginning to see all the ways that Colt has changed.

KIMBERLY’S REVIEW:
4.5 Stars What a heartbreakingly sad story with thankfully a happy ending. Man I am not sure I have ever read a book with such sadness in it and yet the author had me not wanting to miss a word and staying up late to read to the end. The past that Leah and Colt have is fixed with teenage angst but the struggles they have gone through as adults is just as emotional.

After having read the first two in the series and seeing Colt sadness over the one that got away I knew his story would be a doozy and I was right. And yet Colt has a side that we didn’t get to see before. His sweet side is just as sexy and his brooding side. Leah is a very closed off person after the sacrifices she has made and yet she is strong and courageous.

I felt I was on a rollercoaster that kept going from page one to the last page. So many lows and wonderful highs. This book can be read alone but I do not know why you wouldn’t want to spend all the time in Sultry Springs that you can so pick up the first book and don’t stop until you read this one. And then hope that Macy Beckett changes her mind and adds more to this series!

Kelly & Kimberly review Hotshot by Julie Garwood

Hotshot

TITLE: Hotshot
SERIES #: Buchanan-Renard #11
CHARACTERS: Payton & Finn
AUTHOR: Julie Garwood
PUBLICATION DATE: 08/06/13
ORDER LINKS: Amazon | B&N http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/hotshot-julie-garwood/1113599140?ean=9780525953012

BOOK SYNOPSIS:
Peyton Lockhart and her sisters have inherited Bishop’s Cove, a small, luxurious oceanfront resort, but it comes with a condition: The girls must run the resort for one year and show a profit—only then will they own it.

A graduate of a prestigious French culinary school, Peyton has just lost her job as a food critic. Out of work and in a bad place personally, a year doing something completely different sounds wonderful.

There are countless challenges and too many people who want to stop the sisters from succeeding. Among them are Peyton’s contentious cousins, who are outraged that they didn’t inherit the resort, as well as a powerful group of land developers who have been eyeing the coveted beachfront property.

It’s soon apparent to Peyton that their efforts are being sabotaged, but she refuses to let the threats scare her—until she’s nearly killed. She calls on her childhood friend and protector, Finn MacBain, now with the FBI, and asks for his help. He saved her life once; he can do it again.

Julie’s previous two titles, The Ideal Man and Sweet Talk, both debuted at #2 on the New York Times bestseller list.

KELLY’S REVIEW:
After a narrow escape on a snow road from a madman trying to killer her, Peyton finds herself at a wedding. One of the MacBain boys is finally getting married and that means that Finn will be here. Peyton has followed Finn’s career and know his is an attorney and with the FBI and he just might be the only person that can help her. Finn was her hero once long time ago. Peyton is hoping that he might be that again.

Finn is a bit surprised when he sees young Peyton Lockhart all grown up. She is not the cute little girl that he saved all those years ago. Finn is a little surprised by his reaction to her but he blows it off. That is until he sees the bullet holes in her car and hears her story. Finn knows that he has to jump back in the role of Peyton’s hero no questions asked.

I loved these two. Finn & Peyton have known each other for years. Even if they didn’t really talk to one another as they got older. Finn fits the role of hero so well. But he is stubborn and it takes almost losing Peyton to finally make him realize she is it for him.
This was my first Julie Garwood book and I have to say that I really really enjoyed. This may have been book 11 in the series, but not once did I feel lost. Hotshot stands on it’s own very nicely. I am looking forward to what is next. I am hoping it is Beck & Ivy 🙂

KIMBERLY’S REVIEW:
4.5 Stars
The problem with Garwood’s books is they are few and far between so when one comes out I rush to read it and I have never been disappointed and this one does not disappoint either. While not my favorite of Garwood’s books I really enjoyed it. I enjoyed the characters of Finn and Peyton. This book has probably more about Peyton than Finn but she is a character that is easy to like so reading her story is fun. Finn is an interesting character. I will admit that he is not one of my favorite Garwood men but I liked him none the less.

There is a lot happening in this story but not sure there is much suspense. I enjoyed the background characters as well. While part of a series this most certainly can be read alone.
Garwood is one of the best writers out there and while this might not be one of my favorite Garwood books the fact that I gave it 4.5 stars should say that it is still a great story and this story is close to the perfection that Garwood is known for.

Kelly & Kimberly review Three Litte Words by Susan Mallery

Three Little Words

TITLE: Three Little Words
SERIES: Fools Gold #13
CHARACTERS: Ford Hendrix & Isabel Carlisle
AUTHOR: Susan Mallery
PUBLICATION DATE: July 30, 2013
ORDER LINKS: Amazon | B&N

BOOK SYNOPSIS:
Can first love turn into the real deal in a sizzling new Fool’s Gold story from New York Times bestselling author Susan Mallery? Isabel Carlisle thinks she’s cursed in the romance department. Her teenage crush, Ford Hendrix, ignored all her letters. Her husband left her for another…man. So Isabel has come home to dust off her passion for fashion and run the family bridal shop until her parents are ready to sell it. Then she’ll pursue her real dreams. At least, that’s the plan, until sexy, charming Ford returns and leaves her feeling fourteen all over again….

Seeing Isabel all grown up hits bodyguard trainer Ford like a sucker punch. Back when heartbreak made him join the military, her sweet letters kept him sane. Now he can’t take his eyes-or his lips-off her. The man who gave up on love has a reason to stay in Fool’s Gold forever-if three little words can convince Isabel to do the same.

KELLY’S REVIEW:
4.5 Stars Loved this story, even if at times I wanted to shake the tar out of Ford. That boy is so beyond stubborn. He can’t see that the best thing he will ever have in his life has been staring him in the face for years.

Isabel has loved Ford for years. She loved him even when he was engaged to her sister. Even when Ford left town and joined the military, that didn’t stop her love for him. No, Isabel wrote to Ford almost the whole time he was gone. Telling him all about the trials and tribulations going on in her life. But not once in all of those years did Ford ever write back. But Isabel could never have guessed the impact that those letter made on Ford.

Now both are back in Fool’s Gold. While Isabel is not planning to stick around for long, she is willing to spend time with Ford. Even if that means she is willing to risk another broken heart. But that is a risk she is willing to take.
Another wonderful Fool’s Gold story. I can’t wait to see what Susan has in store next for the inhabitants of Fool’s Gold. I did love the sub-storyline in the book too with Ford’s brother. I hope that we get to see more of his love story soon.

KIMBERLY’S REVIEW:
5 Stars I have waited a long time for Ford… ok for Ford’s story at least. And I was not disappointed.

Visiting Fool’s Gold is like coming home. We know so much about the town and its people that it is hard not to become a huge fan of the town. Ford was introduced so long ago that I wondered if we would ever get his story so when this year the bodyguards came to town I was thrilled. But then I had to wait until the last of the three story arc but it was worth the wait. And as a extra bonus we get Kent’s story too!!!

Navy SEALs are everywhere in the book world now a days but what was different was Mallery did not write Ford with injuries either physical or mental. Yes he has been through a lot but he is not suffering as so many SEALs are written today. And I appreciated that. I loved Ford’s sense of humor and how jovial he could be especially around Isabel. I could go on and on about what I loved about Ford but why spoil this story for others? Isabel is so sweet. I enjoyed her story. I loved that these two have a past that doesn’t involve an old affair or something like that. Isabel was a young girl with a crush and while she has been through a lot over the last decade she never really lost the feelings for Ford.

I was happy to see Kent’s story in this book too. It was enjoyable to watch the two brothers falling at the same time and how different the process is for both of them and yet it is enjoyable to see how similar they can be.

I am never disappointed when I visit Fool’s Gold but this might be my favorite book of the series (and that is saying something) in a while. Maybe I was just like Isabel and had a crush on Ford even before he came back to town but having spent time with him I fell in love! Bring on the football players!

An attack sends Brianna back into the arms of the sexy brothers. Now they’ll do whatever it takes to win her over. But can Brianna go against the conventions of her human nature and accept both warriors as her mates? It might not matter because someone is out for blood and it’s up to Aeron and Hauk to defend her against a deadly enemy

REVIEW:
3.5 Stars Brianna was saved from the death of her planet and is now trying to rebuild her life. But on her new plant it is customary for a female to mate with two men. While the idea excites her reality scares her. But in order to get the man she wants she is going to have to learn to share.
Aeron & Hauk have been mated before. There was no problems in the 1st mating. But this thing with Brianna has Aeron acting aggressive towards his brother. But after Brianna is attacked Aeron begins to see that Brianna is going to need both of them to keep her safe. And that means he has to share.
This was a quickie read. It is a novella after all. But it was a good read. I am interested to see what Savannah has in store for us next.

This was an okay story for me. I didn’t love or hate it. I just have issues with some types of storylines. While I think that Brenda did a good job with it, I still don’t like to read about it. I do plan on visiting Whiskey Creek again.

sharpshooter

TITLE: Sharpshooter
SERIES #: Shadow Agents #3
CHARACTERS: Gunner Ortez & Sydney Sloan
AUTHOR: Cynthia Eden
PUBLICATION DATE: July 23, 2013
ORDER LINKS: Amazon| B&N

BOOK SYNOPSIS:
Heart-pounding action meets smoldering desire in USA TODAY bestselling author Cynthia Eden’s Shadow Agents miniseries! Two years ago Gunner Ortez saved Sydney Sloan’s life on a mission gone wrong. And ever since then, he’s been watching her back. Now a hostage-rescue mission is about to blow the Elite Ops agents’ lives apart once again.

Working side by side back in the jungles of Peru, the heat between Sydney and Gunner is hotter than ever-and so are the threats to their lives. With the danger escalating, Sydney knows Gunner is her only hope at successfully completing their assignment. But the ex-SEAL who arouses passion she’d only dreamed about also poses the greatest risk to the secret she carries in her heart…and in her belly.

REVIEW:
Gunner & Sydney have a past that they both wish they could forget, forgive and be able to move on. But ghost of the past keep coming back to remind them of their mistakes. But the question is love more powerful than hate? Gunner & Sydney will have to trust each other more than ever or they could lose everything in a blink of the eye.

I was not aware that this was part of a series when I started. There was so much tension, strain and emotional trauma happening with the main characters I didn’t really wonder about the past characters until I was almost done with the book. That was when I released that this was part of a series. I do plan on getting books 1 & 2 and reading soon.

This was another really good story by Cynthia Eden. This was a sit down and read in one sitting book. If you are looking for a good read I would suggest picking up a copy of Sharpshooter

As Beau turns on the charm, hoping to win over this complicated woman, he realizes it won’t be easy.

Only time will tell if what lies beneath can ever be overcome. Or if love can heal all

REVIEW:
Loved this book. I have always been Betty Jo’s fan. I have always rooted for her. I knew from day one that there was more to her than just the partying pain in the but girl that she acts like. And I was very right. Betty Jo has endured more than even her sisters know about. But Betty is a very strong, brave and ultimately sweet person it has just taken her longer than her sister to realize that.

Beau Simon, the yummy Hollywood superstar that hurt Betty a few years ago is back in town for one reason and one reason only. Betty. But he doesn’t know how much that reason will change until it is almost too late.

Like I said before I loved this book. Loved Betty & Beau together. Totally loved that Beau is an Oregon State Beavers fan (GO BEAVS!!!). Just plain loved this trilogy!!! I so can’t wait to see what Juliana has in store next for us.

To further complicate matters, Reyes is her main suspect in an arson case.  Charley has vowed to stay away from him until she can find out the truth…but then dead women start appearing in her apartment, one after another, each lost, confused, and terrified beyond reason.  When it becomes apparent that her own sister, Gemma, is the serial killer’s next target Charley has no choice but to ask for Reyes’ help.  Arsonist or not, he’s the one man alive who could protect Gemma no matter who or what came at her. But he wants something in return. Charley. All of her, body and soul. And to keep her sister safe, it is a price she is willing to pay.

Charley Davidson is at it again in Fifth Grave Past the Light, the sexy, suspenseful, and laugh-out-loud funny fifth installment of the New York Times bestselling series by Darynda Jones.

Review:

4,5 Stars
Two words: Reyes Farrow!!!

Do I really need to say more? I do? Okay fine.
Fifth Grave is another amazing story by Darynda Jones. It was so good to be back in Charley & Reyes’ world. I have loved this series since day one. Charley & Reyes are for sure going to go down as one of my all time favorite book couples. These two have had a very rocky road until the end of book 4 (which if you have not read book 1-4 you REALLY need to read in order). I just love the tension between these two. Oh and Ms. Jones I may never look at a kitchen table the same again.

This being said I don’t want to go into too much more of my review. I am afraid that I will give away something and you all know I try to live spoiler free. But let me leave you with this. Kitchen utilities will never be the same. Charley, as always, finds herself in danger, there is new real estate purchased, Cookie gets a black eye, and the ending will leave you dying for the next book.

Now for an Expert:

Ask me about life after death.

—T-shirt often seen on Charley Davidson,

a grim reaper with questionable morals

The dead guy at the end of the bar kept trying to buy me a drink. Which figured. No one else was even taking a second look and I’d dressed to the nines. Or, at the very least, the eight- and- a-halves. But the truly disturbing part of my evening was the fact that my mark, one Mr. Marvin Tidwell, blond real estate broker and suspected adulterer, actually turned down the drink I’d tried to buy him.

Turned it down! I felt violated.

I sat at the bar, sipping a margarita, lamenting the sad turn my life had taken. Especially to night. This case was not going as planned. Maybe I wasn’t Marv’s type. It happened. But I was oozing interest. And I wore makeup. And I had cleavage. Even with all that going for me, this investigation was firmly wedged between the cracks of no and where. At least I could tell my client, aka Mrs. Marvin Tidwell, that it would seem her husband was not cheating on her. Not randomly, anyway. The fact that he could’ve been meeting someone in particular kept me glued to my barstool.

“C-come here often?”

I looked over at the dead guy. He’d finally worked up the courage to approach and I got a better view of him. I figured him for the runt of the litter. He wore round- rimmed glasses and a tattered baseball cap that sat backwards on top of muddy brown hair. Add to that a faded blue T-shirt and loosely ripped jeans and he could’ve been a skater, a computer geek, or a backwoods moonshiner.

His cause of death was not immediately apparent. No stab wounds or gaping holes. No missing limbs or tire tracks across his face. He didn’t even look like a drug addict, so I couldn’t tell why he’d died at such a young age. Taking into account the fact that his baby- faced features would make him look younger than he probably was, I estimated him to be somewhere around my age when he’d passed.

He stood waiting for an answer. I thought “Come here often?” was rhetorical, but okay. Not wanting to be perceived as talking to myself in a room full of people, I responded by lifting one shoulder in a halfhearted shrug.

Sadly, I did. Come here often. This was my dad’s bar, and while I never set up stings here for fear of someone I knew blowing my cover, this just happened to be the very same bar Mr. Tidwell frequented. At least if it came to a knockdown drag- out, I might have some backup. I knew most of the regulars and all of the employees.

Dead Guy glanced toward the kitchen, seeming nervous before he refocused on me. I glanced that way as well. Saw a door.

“Y-you’re very shiny,” he said, drawing my attention back to him.

He had a stutter. Few things were more adorable than a grown man with boyish features and a stutter. I stirred my margarita and pasted on a fake smile. I couldn’t talk to him in a room full of living, breathing patrons. Especially when one was named Jessica Guinn, to my utter mortification. I hadn’t seen her fiery red hair since high school but there she sat, a few seats down from me, surrounded by a group of chattering socialites who looked almost as fake as her boobs.

But that could be my bitterness rearing its ugly head. Unfortunately, my forced smile only encouraged Dead Guy.

“Y-you are. You’re like the s-sun reflecting off the chrome bumper of a f-fifty- seven Chevy.”

He splayed his fingers in the air to demonstrate, and my heart was gone. Damn it. He was like all those lost puppies I tried to save as a child to no avail because I had an evil stepmother who believed all stray dogs were rabid and would try to rip out her jugular. A fact that had nothing to do with my desire to bring them into the house.

“Yeah,” I said under my breath, doing my best ventriloquist impersonation, “thanks.”

“I’m D-Duff ,” he said.

“I’m Charley.” I kept my hands wrapped around my drink lest he decide we needed to shake. Not many things looked stranger to the living world than a grown woman shaking air. You know those kids with invisible friends? Well, I was one of those. Only I wasn’t a kid, and my friends weren’t invisible. Not to me, anyway. And I could see them because I’d been born the grim reaper, which was not as bad as it sounded. I was basically a portal to heaven, and whenever someone was stuck on Earth, having chosen not to cross over immediately after death, they could cross to the other side through me. I was like a giant bug light, only what I lured was already dead.

I pulled at my extra- tight sweater. “Is it just me, or is it really warm in here?”

His baby blues shot toward the kitchen again. “Hot is m-more like it. S-so, I— I couldn’t help but notice you t-tried to buy that guy over there a drink.”

I let my fake smile go. Freed it like a captured bird. If it came back to me, it would be mine. If not, it never was. “And?”

“You’re b-barking up the wrong tree with that one.”

Surprised, I put my drink down— the one I bought myself— and leaned in a little closer. “He’s gay?”

Duff snorted. “N-no. But he’s been in here a lot lately. He l-likes his women a little . . . l-looser.”

“Dude, how much sluttier can I get?” I indicated my attire with a sweep of my hand.

“N-no, I mean, well, you’re a l-little—” He let his gaze travel the length of me. “—t-tight.”

I gasped. “I look anal?”

He drew in a deep breath and tried again. “H-he only hits on women who are more s-substantial than you.”

Oh, that wasn’t offensive at all. “I have depth. I’ve read Proust. No, wait, that was Pooh. Winnie- the- Pooh. My bad.”

He shifted his non ex is tent weight, cleared his throat, and tried again. “More v-voluptuous.”

“I have curves,” I said through a clenched jaw. “Have you seen my ass?”

“Heavier!” he blurted out.

“I weigh— Oh, you mean he likes bigger women.”

“E-exactly, while I on the other hand—”

Duff ’s words faded into the background like elevator music. So Marv liked big women. A new plan formed in the darkest, most corrupt corners of Barbara. My brain.

Cookie, otherwise known as my receptionist during regular business hours and my best friend 24/7, was perfect. She was large and in charge. Or well, large and kind of bossy. I picked up my cell phone and called her.

“This better be good,” she said.

“It is. I need your assistance.”

“I’m watching the first season of Prison Break.

“Cookie, you’re my assistant. I need assistance. With a case. You know those things we take on to make money?”

Prison. Break. It’s about these brothers who—”

“I know what Prison Break is.”

“Then have you ever actually seen these boys? If you had, you would not expect me to abandon them in their time of need. I think there’s a shower scene coming up.”

“Do these brothers sign your paycheck?”

“No, but technically neither do you.”

Damn. She was right. It was much easier to just have her forge my name.

“I need you to come flirt with my mark.”

“Oh, okay. I can do that.”

Nice. The F-word always worked with her. I filled her in and told her the deal with Tidwell, then ordered her to hurry over.

“And dress sexy,” I said right before hanging up. But I regretted the sexy part instantly. The last time I told Cookie to dress sexy for a much- needed girls’ night out on the town, she wore a lace- up corset, fishnet stockings, and a feather boa. She looked like a dominatrix. I’d never been the same.

Kelly reviews Dreams Of Ivory by Carrie Ann Ryan

dreams of ivory

TITLE: Dreams of Ivory
SERIES #: Holiday Montana #5
CHARACTERS: Jackson Cooper & Honor Bridges
AUTHOR: Carrie Ann Ryan
PUBLICATION DATE: July 16, 2013
ORDER LINKS: Amazon | B&N

BOOK SYNOPSIS:
Jackson Cooper hates magic. Even though his brothers are falling prey to the seductive draw of the paranormal world, Jackson wants nothing to do with it. He also wants nothing to do with marriage, babies, and all that comes with it. He’s content with being the stoic, but quiet Uncle Jacks. But when a woman from his past, one he’s been dodging for years, comes back to town, Jackson might have to reevaluate his plans.

Honor Bridges is the tooth fairy. Well, not the tooth fairy, but at least one of them. For the past eight years she’s been on her own, hiding from what she truly wants. Now she’s back in Holiday and ready to take over her duties…as well as deal with Jackson once and for all. But there’s another player in town who isn’t happy with the decisions she made all those years ago and Jackson might be the one who takes the brunt of that anger.

Warning: Contains a wickedly spicy tooth fairy–complete with sparkly wings, the most tortured of all the Cooper brothers in all his broodiness, and dreams that are sure to make you never want to wake up in this final Cooper Brother’s installment of the Holiday, Montana series.

REVIEW:
As the oldest of the Cooper boys, Jackson has tried his best to take care of all of them. He was the one who stepped up to care for the younger ones when their parents died. He is the one who had watch as each of his brothers came into their supernatural powers. Then watched each of them fall in love. But Jackson has no magical gifts nor will he find his true love and that is exactly how he wants it. Or is it?

Honor Bridges never wanted to be back in Holiday Montana, but duty and honor to her grandmother has forced her back. But coming back to Holiday means facing the only man who she has ever loved. Biting the bullet Honor walks into Jackson Cooper’s dental practice and announce she is back in town. Now she will have to face the repercussions of her actions.

Jackson & Honor are so cute together. It was great fun reading about the tough, stuffy, stiff and plain pain in the grumpy pants oldest Cooper brother go just a tad bit soft. I have enjoyed the journey through the Holiday series and am sad to see it go.
But never fear there will be a return trip to Holiday Montana soon.

Once a talented musician, Domingos can’t escape the constant music in his head …or his need to destroy the werewolf pack that tortured him. Though trusting the hunter ordered to kill him could be his gravest mistake, the dark desires between them can’t be refused. Yet as he and Lark become allies to defeat a mutual threat, loving the enemy may be the ultimate sacrifice.

REVIEW:
This was an okay story for me. Normally I love the worlds that Michele Hauf creates. But for some reason I just didn’t connect with this story or the characters.
