REVIEW:
3.75 Hearts This was a fun read. I really enjoyed the interaction between Simon and Cassie from the first met. It helped that their first meeting was hilarious. I mean who could have had worse luck than Cassie? Well at least at the moment that she had to walk into the Hot Swap Computer store. But from there on she should be thankful for that spilled wine.
And Simon, sweet, sweet Simon. He is very giving and kind and will pretty much perfect.
The two of them together are great and their journey through the List is hilarious, fun and beyond smexy!!
My only fault with this story was that it was a little predictable. But even with that I truly enjoyed the story and can’t wait to see what is next for us in this series. I have a funny feeling that Cassie’s sister is in for a wild ride.

REVIEW:
So I liked this story but I wouldn’t say that I loved it. The characters are odd to me. Not so odd that I couldn’t enjoy them but there is just something odd about them. Ainsley just wants to be loved and she sticks with a guy for 11 years even though he is self centered and obnoxious. Kate is older and finds love with Nathan but months after the wedding he dies. Kate is a bit lost and delusional in her desire to be pregnant from her deceased husband.

Now none of that sounds weird but it is. Ainsley and Kate were never close as half sisters but their shared loss brings them together. Of the 450+ pages the first half of book is sadness and loss. A bit of sisters coming together. The second half is them finding what they really want from life. It has a bit of hate to love relationship and friends to lovers relationship.

The problem is I can’t really even say what this story is… It is about love and romance? No. Is it about sisterly bonding? No not really. But I can tell you one thing…..Gram Gram is adorable in her dementia.

REVIEW:
4.5 Hearts Archer is dark and mysterious. But while he seems to have it all together there is always more than meets the eye. Elle puts on a great front of being totally in control and not needing anyone. But she has to learn that sometimes you need a little help from your friends.
I am always excited to pick up one of Ms. Shalvis’ books and from book one in this series I have been waiting and excited about Archer’s book. It is safe to say that I loved it. I can’t wait to see what is next for this series!

REVIEW:
Skye Jordan is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors and this book is one of the reasons why. This is a new series from Jordan and I really enjoyed it. I just adored Trace. The thing about Trace is he is real. I know that sounds strange since he is fictional but he is just a real down to earth character. He has issues. He has been through way too much and is trying to get his life back but he has aches and pains. He is taking care of his dad who is ill and so much more.

Avery is adorable. She is Ms Sunshine most of the time but I enjoyed that eventually everything catches up to her and she just has a mini-breakdown like women do. Everyone should have a friend like Avery in their lives.

All in all this was a really great story. Perfect for any fan of contemporary romance. Chapter 5 alone is worth reading for (assuming you enjoy the down and dirty parts of a story). You can never go wrong with Skye Jordan’s books!

Excitement or dread? She wasn’t sure she knew.

This wasn’t the first time she’d been on the ranch since her breakup with Owen. In fact, she’d been there several times since discovering Ragnarok, but this time was different.

This time, Owen could be there.

“I’m close,” Callie said.

The line disconnected. Natalie didn’t see the black fence that lined either side of the drive, or the cows and horses that grazed peacefully.

Her gaze was locked on the white house that drew closer with each second. By the time she parked in front of the two- story ranch home with its wide, wrap- around porch, all she could think about was the dinner she’d had the week before with Callie, Virgil, and Charlotte.

She put the car in park and glanced around. There was no sign that anyone else was there. Since she expected someone to come out at the sound of her car, she assumed Owen and his brothers hadn’t yet made it to the house.

Or perhaps, luck was on her side, and those choppers hadn’t been bringing the brothers.

She got out of her car, but it was more difficult than she imagined making herself go up the steps to the porch. She might be involved in all of this, but she’d never witnessed a murder scene firsthand.

Her heart skipped a beat, even as she instinctively reacted and used her momentum to pull Owen over her head. She got up, but in the next heartbeat, he had her pinned to the wall.

The heat of him was the first thing she felt. Then it was his hard body trapping her. She felt herself softening, needing to feel him after all these years.

She thought he would threaten her. Instead, he knocked off her cap. His dark brown eyes widened in shock.

How she wished her heart didn’t feel like it was about to explode out of her chest. He was . . . breathtaking. She drank in the very sight of him. Sharp, chiseled features that looked as if they had been fashioned from granite stared back at her. Gone was any hint of the teenager she’d known. Before her stood a man in all his masculine glory.

“Hi, boys,” Natalie said. It was the only thing she could think of. Owen frowned, the irritation clear in his sensual chocolate gaze. “What the hell are you doing here?”

“She’s looking for me.”

At the sound of Callie’s voice, most of the apprehension left Natalie. Now she wouldn’t have to face the Loughman men on her own.

She barely paid attention to anything going on around her. She was too intent on staring into Owen’s eyes. It was obvious that he was irritated to find her there, but he had yet to release her.

And she didn’t remind him of that fact.

Her allowing him to keep her pinned was an indication of how long it had taken her to get over him. And how she hated herself for it. After all she’d suffered, she should be shoving him away.

Her body had other ideas, however. With her blood burning through her and her nipples hard, she ached for his touch.

Yearned for it.

His eyes dropped to her mouth. Her breath hitched, caught in her throat. Yes! She wanted his kiss. It didn’t matter where they were or who was around.

REVIEW:
3.5 Hearts I broke my normal reading rule and read this book out of order. That being said I didn’t feel lost in the series. It was clear that things happened in the previous books but that didn’t affect my read.
Mary and Glen are two sweet together. I love the lengths that Glen goes to get his girl. Of course Mary has to make him work for it. Neither is perfect. But together they are. This was such a sweet love story. Really glad I picked this little gem up.
Now I need to go back and read the first four books.

REVIEW:
It is about dang time. Jacob “just up and left” the family but there is more than what can be seen that makes this story good. I was so happy to have Jacob home. Even though we hadn’t met Jacob he felt like he was missing from the last few stories. It was great to have him home.

Sophie is great. She is the type of woman I would love to hang out with on a Friday night and just relax with. She is funny and caring and just a great character.

I have never read a book by Shalvis that I would not recommend and this falls into the same category. I would say to read the rest in this series first though so you can understand what is going on with Jacob and why his character is worth waiting for.

REVIEW:
4.25 Hearts As with most of Kauffman’s books the moment you start reading you feel like you are part of the story, sitting in the restaurants or walking down the beach. You also feel like you are watching a romance unfold in front of you. That is how I felt reading Kerry and Cooper’s story.

This is a light fun couple who laugh and just enjoy. Yes there are issues or the book would be no more than a chapter but the characters communicate in a way that most couples wish they could.

The story is heartfelt and sweet. I believe anyone that enjoys contemporary romance novels will enjoy this book. And you do not have to have read the series to enjoy it.

REVIEW:
Forbidden Fling is kinda like Romeo and Juliet but without all the death.

We have Ethan Hayes whose family hates Delaney Hart. And Delaney Hart who escaped town as quickly as possible. All because of one night, one fight and one horrible mistake. A mistake that has haunted both Ethan and Delaney and shaped them both in ways they didn’t know about until now.

A wonderful start to a new series for Skye Jordan. I loved Ethan and Delaney. Ethan is the guy that we all want our man to be. He is sweet, hot and not afraid to say sorry (well kinda he is a guy). Delaney is determined and strong. I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us in the next installment.

REVIEW:
3.5 Hearts This is a cute beach read. It is pretty predictable. Ethan and Gabby fake a romance to fool his grandmother before she passes away. However the pretend turns real.

The thing that makes this good are the characters. I really enjoyed Gabby. She is trying to come into her own after a bad relationship. She wants to learn to be on her own two feet about doesn’t realize that she already is. Ethan’s relationship with his grandmother is just so sweet. Dixie just steals your heart. She is the grandmother everyone want to have.

As I said it is a sweet story. A quick read that will keep your attention and yet is relaxing to just enjoy.

Plowing his gloved fists into the punching bag in front of him on the morning of the fourth day, Abe blocked out the other sounds in the gym and attempted to lose himself in the rhythm of the mindless action. It worked for about a minute before his mind filled with Sarah again. Her shy smile when he gave her a compliment. The way she’d sit curled up under his arm and read to him on lazy summer days.

Hard on the heels of that memory came one of him throwing her books in the pool in a drugfueled rage. She’d been sobbing as she tried to save them.

“Fucking bastard,” Abe muttered, talking to his past self. He punched the bag so hard that it threatened to swing back right into his face. He didn’t care. He deserved to have his face beaten in.

Ripping off his gloves afterward, he showered, then went straight to a bookshop.

It was too little too late, but now that he’d remembered his asshole behavior, he couldn’t just leave it. Ball cap pulled low, he wandered the aisles… then realized most people here didn’t care who he was; they were more interested in the volumes that lined the shelves. He spent an hour inside the murmuring quiet of the store, searching for the titles he remembered seeing on their bedside table. She’d definitely read him Jane Austen.

He couldn’t remember which one though, so he bought the entire set.

And there was this one romance novel she loved and had read over and over again. He’d teased her it would fall apart in her hands one day. She’d just smiled and read him a paragraph that she’d told him was part of her favorite scene. What the hell had it been? Yes, that was it. In the end, it turned out the store didn’t have that book in stock, so he bought her a bunch of new releases featuring people with dogs or puppies on the covers. He definitely remembered seeing covers like that in their home

After spotting it in a display, he added in a nonfiction book about a woman who’d set up her own company while nearly flat broke and who was now a millionaire. At the counter, he paid extra to have the books wrapped up and packaged.

He’d called his car service earlier; the driver shot him a funny look when he put the package in the passenger seat and gave him Sarah’s address. “I’m a courier now?” the stocky middleaged man asked, having worked long enough for Schoolboy

Choir that he was a friend. They’d all missed his calm demeanor and total trustworthiness when he broke his leg recently and had been out for a while.

“Best in the business,” Abe responded.
The other man snorted. “I’ll get it to her now.”

Blowing out a breath after the gleaming black town car pulled away, Abe went to where he’d parked his SUV and got in. He didn’t want to go home to his empty house, but he didn’t want to barge in on his friends either. David and Thea, Noah and Kit, they needed time alone. As for Molly and Fox, while the newlyweds were back home after a short wedding trip, having postponed their honeymoon until later in the year, Abe wasn’t about to bust up their love nest.

Gabriel and Charlotte probably wouldn’t have minded the company since they’d been doing the sightseeing thing, but the other couple had flown back to New Zealand twentyfour hours earlier—after inviting all of them to their own wedding.

His phone buzzed right then. Picking it up, he saw a message from Fox. Molly and I are at that Thai place with the noodles you like. We saved you a seat if you want to join us for lunch. Damn, he loved his bandmates. On my way, he messaged back.

Starting the engine, he tried not to obsess over if Sarah would call him after receiving his long overdue gift. Hell, he’d be content with her throwing the books at his head. All he wanted was for her to talk to him, to let him show her he wasn’t that guy anymore, the one who’d destroyed them both.

REVIEW:
I really enjoyed Lust, Love & Lemon Pie. Which is Amy E. Reichert second book. I really liked the her first books The Coincidence of Coconut Cake. In Luck, Love & Lemon Pie we follow Chris & MJ. A couple that has been married for 20 years who has found themselves in a bit of a funk of late. MJ tries to find a common thread with her husband in the form of Poker. But MJ finds herself getting more wrapped up in playing poker then fixing her marriage problems.
It was really nice to read a story about a couple that is going through something that almost every couple will go through at some point in time. I liked the MJ tired to find common ground with Chris (even if it backfired a bit). Chris kinda made me mad that he didn’t even try talking it out with MJ. But I loved the ending!!
I can’t wait to see what Amy has in store for us next!!!
