BOOK SYNOPSIS:
As if learning as much as possible about every alien race in the galaxy, fending off the advances both business and personal from a variety of Hollywood types, dealing with the assimilation of various alien races, and navigating the Embassy Daycare kids’ first day of “real” school wasn’t bad enough, President and First Lady Jeff and Kitty Katt-Martini must now deal with new robotic attacks that endanger every alien child on Earth, the resurgence of a bigger, nastier Club 51, and a variety of murders, all while facing the most truly terrifying organization they’ve ever encountered — the school’s Parent-Teacher Association.

REVIEW:
Another wonderful adventure with Kitty and crew! I think my favorite part of this story is Christopher on the ice! Speedy and ice don’t always mix! Awe, but I still love my Christopher. It is always fun to see Kitty in action. She has a way of thinking that at times has me scratching my head. Along with her ability to decipher musically clues makes her pretty much unstoppable.
In Alien Education Kitty has to deal with the PTA!! Yes, she is thrown into battle with the president of the PTA. There is a bake sale involved, a food fight and one very well aimed roll. We have an enemy that tries to bury the hatch and a new enemy show it’s hands. We also get to see how Jamie and baby Charlie are developing. These kids are going to run the universe very very soon!! And we get some Jeff & Kitty time!! Only thing better would be more Christopher!
I can’t wait to see what comes next for Kitty and crew!!

BOOK SYNOPSIS:
The Mastermind has upped his game . . .

As Kitty can tell you, it’s not easy being the wife of the vice president – especially not when he’s an alien from the Alpha Centauri system. And being a parent of preternaturally talented children, don’t even go there. But she and her A-C husband, Jeff, have learned how to roll with whatever life and the bad guys throw at them – they think.

Kitty & Company have been savouring a few months of quiet since they got back from Beta Eight. But suddenly their peace is shattered by the arrival of a mysterious female assassin – who might be Jeff’s missing niece, Stephanie. And that’s just the beginning of the fun.

When the Alpha Centauri Planetary Council requests a visit with the president and vice president, things look politically dicey. When the most dangerous prisoners in the most secure supermax prison escape with ease, things look bad. But when the Mastermind releases a virus that kills people in a week, things go to Defcon Worse fast.

Now it’s up to Kitty to save everyone important in the U.S. government – including her mother, her husband, and herself – before the virsu spreads through the rest of the country, and then the world. Plus she’s facing invisible attackers, crazed assassins, a teenager in hiding, the most dangerous train ride ever, the disappearance of her beloved flyboys, and a mysterious alien who could be an enemy or the ally she needs.

and this time, the Mastermind’s made it very personal. Either he’s going down . . . or Kitty is.

REVIEW:
Long live Wolverine with Boobs!!! Kitty is back and she is not bothering to take names this time.
I really enjoyed the opening scene with Jamie complaining about Charlie. Cracked me up!! I would have loved to see more of the kid-o’s, but being at war is not the best place for them to be. And super excited that Becky is here!!!!
Each time I pick up one of Ms. Koch’s books I realized what a complicated and involved series this is (meaning you need to start with book one and read in order). I am very thankful that she recaps the characters. At times I feel like I need a cheat sheet to keep track of everyone. 🙂
This was a fun book because as always Kitty does some serious butt kicking and who knew she could drive a motorcycle so well. But sad at the same time because there were too many deaths. And damn it Mastermind got away AGAIN!!! Can’t he just be gone already??
I can’t wait to see what happens next because I am not sure that Earth is ready for the new President and First Lady. Oh and don’t forget the first children!!! Pack your bags Jeff & Kitty your shiny new house is White.

Kelly reviews Enslave Me Sweetly by Gena Showalter

enslave me sweetlyTITLE: Enslave Me Sweetly
SERIES #: Alien Huntress #2
CHARACTERS: Eden Black & Lucius Adaire
AUTHOR: Gena Showalter
NARRATOR: Justine Eyre
PUBLICATION DATE: June 6, 2006
ORDER LINKS:Amazon | B&N | Audible

BOOK SYNOPSIS:
Eden Black walks among humans, protecting them from the murderous evil of other-worlders who abduct and enslave. And though she appears to be human herself, Eden is an alien, a Raka, distinguished by her golden hair and skin, and gifted with the ominous ability to kill without remorse — and with total accuracy. That is, until the fateful night she has one shot to eliminate her target, a human slaver — and misses.

“Failure” is not in Eden’s vocabulary. Neither is “partner” — but that’s what she is forcibly assigned after recovering from her disastrous mission. A sexy, steely-nerved human agent, Lucius Adaire enjoys nothing more than sparking the fury — and rousing the desire — of the fiery female assassin too proud to admit defeat. Locked in an assignment they cannot afford to lose, Lucius and Eden find themselves bound in two high-stakes, heart-pounding games: the sensual web of kill or be killed, and the erotic dance of seduction.

REVIEW:
Eden Black is a trained killer who always gets her prey. Unfortunately always is not true now. Her latest target slipped away and Eden was gravely hurt. Now Micheal (her father and boss) has teamed her up with a human. The last thing in the world that Eden wants is a partner. But there is something about Agent Lucius Adaire that draws Eden. Something that may just get them both killed.
Lucius is a hired killer who is willing to do anything for the right price. So when the chance to work with the lovely Eden Black comes up he jumps at the chance. But quickly he finds himself bested again and again by the sweet looking Raka, who is anything but sweet.

I really enjoyed Enslave Me Sweetly. I loved the tension between Eden and Lucius. I loved Agent Luke and how Eden used that to her advantage. My only real issue with this story was how quickly Eden was able to employ the help of the Targon King. Okay employ might be a to gentle word for blackmail and the threat of cutting off male body parts. But all in all I enjoyed this book.

I listened to Enslave Me Sweetly on audio and had the amazingly talented Justine Eyre . Justine does a great job of bring these characters to life for me. If you are a fan of Justine & Gena Showalter you should check out this series 🙂

Kelly reviews Universal Alien by Gini Koch

Universal AlienTITLE: Universal Alien
SERIES #: Katherine “Kitty” Martin #10
CHARACTERS: Kitty Martin and the whole AC crew
AUTHOR: Gini Koch
PUBLICATION DATE: December 2, 2014
ORDER LINKS: Amazon| B&N

BOOK SYNOPSIS:
Issues with Australia need to be straightened out, so the White House sends the Vice President and his wife, aka Jeff and Kitty Katt-Martini, over to handle the situation. But before Kitty can make things worse, she’s suddenly in another world — one where she’s been married to Charles Reynolds for years and aliens don’t exist.

Kitty’s not the only one confused, because the Kitty from that world has taken her place in this one. Can they both save their respective days before it’s too late to go home to the universes they belong to, or will one Kitty decide to keep the other’s life… forever?

REVIEW:
In Universal Alien Kitty’s world gets turned upside down and things may never be the same.

I really liked Universal Alien. I will admit that when I first read the blurb I was really nervous. I didn’t want anything upsetting Kitty & Jeff’s story. But I trusted (after a bit of reassurance) and really liked this story. There were differently a few anxiety moments that I wished that “our” Kitty was with Jeff and the whole AC crew. But both Kitty’s were great and where they needed to be at the time. This world switch-a-roo also gave us a few answers to questions that have been plaguing us for many many books. But like always Ms. Koch give us just enough to drive us nuts with “oh goodness what is going to happen next”.

I have to say that I think that Jamie-Kat (both of them) stole the show for me. Jamie in both worlds is so accepting and so sweet. Jamie-Kat has easily become one of my favorites.

BOOK SYNOPSIS:
Jeff and Kitty Katt-Martini and the rest of the American Centaurion Diplomatic Corps are still recovering from their introduction to Washington D.C. politics, parties, and conspiracies. So when compromising pictures arrive, no one’s too surprised. They’re also the least of anyone’s worries.

Evil androids running amok, birds of all kinds and from all places creating havoc, a Senator trapped in an ever-tightening web of intrigue, and escalating international tensions all seem tough but manageable. But the disappearance of Jeff Martini and Charles Reynolds during the International One World Festival signals more than the usual nastiness — and it looks like even ACE can’t help them.

Then new trouble arrives in old packages and even with the best hackers in the world, beings from near and far, the full might of Earth’s military, and the Wonder Twins on their side, Centaurion Division’s outmanned and outgunned.

Now Kitty’s racing against the clock to find not only Jeff and Chuckie, but to keep the peace between Middle Eastern countries, all while searching for the bases of super-soldier operations — to stop them or die trying.

Love and Kitty.
Sounds like the beginning of a bad joke. But this is no joke just another day in the life of Kitty Katt-Martini saving the world.

I think if I could be one heroine I would choose to be Kitty. Not only is her husband smoking, her daughter beyond cute and she gets to hang out with my love Christopher, Kitty is a total kick ass person. And as always Ms. Koch gives us an amazing fun story filled with humor, sarcasm, action and Kitty and crew in kick ass mode.

In Alien vs Alien Kitty has to fight to clear her name while protecting her family and friends. I love reading about Jeff and Kitty’s love for each other. It reminded me so much of why I loved this series to begin with.

Oh and lest us not forget Chuckie!! Oh now we can’t forget something so important as Chuckie find love. YAY!!!! I am so glad that he is happy now and not pining after Kitty anymore.

I can’t wait to see what happens next.

Kelly reviews Alien Research by Gini Koch

Untitled-1TITLE: Alien Research
SERIES #: Katherine “Kitty” Katt
CHARACTERS: Kitty, Jeff, Jamie and the whole A-C crew
AUTHOR: Gini Koch
PUBLICATION DATE: December 3, 2013
ORDER LINKS: Amazon| B&N

BOOK SYNOPSIS:
When rumors of a new super-drug surface, the FBI comes to Jeff and Kitty Katt-Martini for help. It becomes quickly apparent that the drug is merely the tip of a deadly iceberg and a much more insidious plan is underway involving Titan Security, Gaultier Enterprises, and YatesCorp.

As newly discovered A-Cs and hybrids begin to surface, each with expanded and deadly talents, more and more signs point to a new evil genius who’s using the A-Cs and their enemies both as guinea pigs. Then Area 51 and the Dulce Science Center go silent while Alpha Team, Airborne, and most of the worldwide A-C Security team are there for training. And if that’s not bad enough, Centaurion Division is hit with more bad, and deadly, news: Chernobog the Ultimate, isn’t a hacker myth, he’s a real person — and he’s on the bad guys’ side.

Now Kitty and company must find the real Dr. Feelgood and stop him or her before the latest version of Surcenthumain hits the streets and more people they love are harmed, or worse. But when the inconceivable happens, Kitty’s focused on two things only: reviving the ACE entity before their enemies realize Earth’s best protection isn’t actually active…and revenge.

REVIEW:
I must warn you that you may want to have some tissues while reading this book. More than a few tears were shed.

Another great story by Ms. Koch. Alien Research I think took me on the highest of highs and the lowest of lows in the series today. Because what the Koch giveth the Koch taketh away! And when she takes she does is in very dramatic fashion (hence the warning).
It was great to see Kitty & Jeff not so focused on their new Washington jobs and more focused on the people around them. As always the A-C crew has to battle the evil that is trying to take over the world. And as always Kitty is the ring leader in trying to stop it.

I am so glad that I am finally almost catch up on this series. I really should not get behind again. 🙂

If you are a fan of Gini Koch and her Katherine “Kitty” Katt series I am sure you will love Alien Research. But please heed my warning *sniff, sniff*
