Dmitri and Presley—the scorching-hot couple who started it all in Claimed—return to save Club Sin in the exhilarating new short novel from USA Today bestselling author Stacey Kennedy.

Dmitri Pratt is living out his dream. Not only does he own the ultimate playground for the BDSM lifestyle, he’s found a special connection with his deliciously sexy sub, Presley Flynn, the woman who complements him in ways that go far beyond the bedroom. But when an anonymous blackmailer threatens to expose the elite, high-profile members of Club Sin in a notorious tabloid, Dmitri’s perfect world spirals out of control.

Before she met Dmitri, Presley never imagined she would find a Master who could deliver on all her hottest fantasies. Dmitri’s love and his sensual artistry surprise her every day, until he suddenly turns distant and cold. For the first time, Presley wonders where Dmitri’s heart truly lies: with her, or with Club Sin. As the life they’ve built together begins to crumble, Presley can only trust that Dmitri has what it takes—to defend what’s his, and win back the woman he cannot live without.

KELLY’S REVIEW:
4 Hearts It is so hard to say goodbye. Mine is the last book in Ms. Kennedy’s Club Sin series and what better way to end the series then with the couple that started the series. Throughout the Club Sin books we have seen Dmitri and Presley grow closer and closer. We have seen them deal with their friends relationship ups and downs. We have seen them watch other get in engaged, married and start a family. Yet, Dmitri & Presley seem to be at a standstill. When Club Sin is blackmailed Dmitri will do everything in his power to protect his club. But how far will he go? And at what cost?

I am sad to see Club Sin go. But at the same time glad that Ms. Kennedy wrapped up the series nicely. I do hope that this is not the last time we will see the members of Club Sin. And with a new spin off coming I hope that there maybe a cameo or two.
But until then Club Sin fans you will enjoy the final book in the Club Sin series. New readers you really need to start with Claimed, book 1 in the series.

KIMBERLY’S REVIEW:
2.75 Hearts This is a short novella of less than 100 pages that catches us up with Dmitri and Presley who started this series with Claimed. I enjoy catching up with characters from past books when they become the background of a new story in a series but just like in this book the problem is that something was off with these characters from the ones we met 7 books ago.

I didn’t enjoy Dmitri in this story. He was not who we remember him to be. He was selfish and distant. Presley was needy and whiney. The story was ok but being a short story the background of the blackmailer is done in a matter of a chapter or two and we are left with Presley pining over Dmitri and Dmitri giving into peer pressure if you ask me. I look forward to the next in the series but am just not thrilled with this one.

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

People who visited Las Vegas were typically on the hunt for a wild weekend getaway. Others wanted to spend their nights in a casino. For Dmitri Pratt, Vegas was his home. He enjoyed what Vegas could offer those who visited the city, but he preferred saying, What happens in Club Sin stays in Club Sin.

His beloved BDSM club, located in the basement of his mansion, felt more like home to him than the rest of the house. Nearly six years had passed since he’d opened the exclusive dungeon, where men mastered women looking to indulge in their wildest fantasies. Years back, he had hoped his club would be as successful as it was now. But the fulfillment he felt now was greater than anything he could’ve anticipated.

Tonight he studied the club before him, feeling the sense of pride swelling. Club Sin members sat on the black leather couches situated around the room. They chatted among themselves or were lost in aftercare with their partners. The St. Andrew’s crosses, spanking benches, and bondage stations were all in use, with submissives being taken to a higher level of pleasure. Even the waft of sex, sweat, and feminine arousal brushing through the air brought Dmitri satisfaction.

Overwhelmed by the perfectness of the moment, he shifted his focus onto the woman who’d changed his life. He’d been an empty man during his twenties, searching for something he hadn’t known he was missing. Then, in his thirties, he’d met his submissive, Presley Flynn. Now his life had found an unexpected center.

He’d always worked toward a goal to make his life better—going to college, working at the casino, Aces, until he became its president—but he didn’t think his life could be any better than it was at the moment.

Presley waited silently, quietly asking her Dom to pay attention to her. She stood with her legs spread wide open by a spreader bar attached to her ankles. The spanking bench resting in front of her had a vibrating wand taped onto the long wooden pole, which pressed against her swollen clit. Her hands were laced behind her head, and her body shook in the anticipation of where he’d take her next.

Stunning.

She’d come three times already tonight. He thought she’d climaxed enough without him. He closed the distance between them, and then he stroked the thin red welts on her shoulders and bottom. Those markings from his whip were his treat tonight.

He caressed the red lines, noting that she didn’t move when he touched her. The only sign she acknowledged his arrival was the hitching of her breath. Pride straightened his spine, warmth coursing through his veins. “Look at you, beautiful,” he murmured. “You’ve come so far, haven’t you?”

Head bowed, she asked, “Come far, sir?”

He chuckled at the softness in her voice, as her thoughts were likely hazy from the brutal buzz of the vibrator. “I have not bound you, and even with your orgasms, you still haven’t moved.” He circled her, regarding her sensually. “I will say again, look how far you’ve come.”

She shivered. “Yes, sir.”

Christ, she was breathtaking. Presley had arrived at Club Sin nearly two years ago, a newbie to BDSM and completely uneducated in the ways of pleasing her Dom. Now he knew he could do anything he wanted and she wouldn’t move unless he gave the order that she could. Before, she would’ve moved while the vibe assaulted her. Tonight, though, she’d been standing with her hands laced behind her head for a good hour, all because he had asked her to. She was a well-trained submissive.

“You please me, doll,” he murmured.

“I’m pleased that I do, sir.”

He swiped his finger against a small welt, and she moaned in ecstasy. His smile felt real and honest as he strode around the spanking bench to look at her face. Presley took care of herself, eating healthy and exercising five days a week, giving her a toned body. Her long dirty-blond hair was piled high on her head, leaving all of her gorgeous skin available to him. Her nose was covered in freckles, her cheeks were bright red, and her lips parted with her moans. Beautiful. But her eyes, with the emerald of her irises nearly invisible because her pupils were so widely dilated, were what captivated him the most. They showed her sweet soul.

Determined to take her even higher, he leaned over the spanking bench and turned the vibrator onto the highest speed. Her breath hitched and her mouth fell open. Amusement flooded him, as did heat, pooling into his groin. “How is that cunt now, Presley?”

Her eyes rolled into the back of her head. “It’s . . .” A rough breath passed through her lips.

“Hot and wet?”

She gasped, her eyes flying open. “Yes, sir.”

“Excellent.” Pleased by the arousal he saw along her inner thighs, he moved to her side, watching her eyes follow him. While she was looking at him, she wasn’t really focusing on anything. Pleasure had blinded her, and he liked her that way.

Tonight was her reward for standing so still while she was under his whip. She’d gained control over herself during his mentoring of her, and Presley was now the submissive he’d longed for. She obeyed without hesitation. Her soul was linked with his. Dmitri had never before understood the perfection of that. Not truly. But now that he’d tasted having a submissive so attuned to him, he’d never give that up.

He reached her back, seeing a crowd gathering for the show he planned to put on, and he placed a hand on her shoulder. Only when she inhaled a sharp breath did he push a little, pressing her further against the vibe.

“Fuck” wheezed from her mouth.

Dmitri chuckled.

 Excerpt

His blue gaze sharpened on her. “Are you afraid of me?”

“Aren’t most people?” she dodged. Most smart people?

“Yes, but they have a reason to fear me.” His knuckles fell away from her. “You don’t. I wouldn’t ever hurt you.”

Right. Like she was just supposed to take him at his word. Once Jax had been drawn into LOST’s investigation, Sarah had made it a top priority to learn as much about him as she could. Only it turned out that there wasn’t a whole lot to discover. Most of his past was cloaked, little more than rumors and smoke. Sure, she’d seen his criminal record, but that had been all juvie stuff. The guy had been good at covering his tracks once he’d become legal.

He’d been on the streets since he was a teenager. Somehow, he’d clawed his way—quite literally—out of the gutter and become a force to be reckoned with in the area. He owned several businesses and had connections that stretched across the county. And the local police were sure that he was a criminal. They just hadn’t been able to pin any serious crimes on him.

It’s hard because he has money and power. And he’s smart. She could see the intelligence in his eyes. The cunning. He won’t make mistakes easily.

“I love it when your mind starts spinning,” he murmured, his voice a deep rumble. “Tell me, Dr. Jacobs, are you profiling me right now?”

Her hands lifted and she shoved against his chest. He backed up, not because she’d been uber strong and knocked him back, but because … dammit, she suspected he moved for her.

To make her feel in control.

But he likes power.

And, hell, she was profiling him. “I don’t understand the point of this little meeting. Stopping a woman in the elevator is hardly an appropriate pick-up routine—”

He laughed. His laughter actually sounded real. Warm and rough, and it rolled right over her.

“How is anything about us appropriate?” Jax asked. That man’s voice—so deep and rumbly—it was like pure sex. She was pretty sure, like one hundred percent so, that he normally had women tossing their panties at him on sight.

She wasn’t one of those women. Or, rather, she was trying not to be one of those women.

Kelly’s interview with Molly Harper & Amanda Ronconi

Books-n-Kisses is excited to have one of my favorite authors Molly Harper and her amazing narrator Amanda Ronconi on the blog to talk about Molly’s new release The Single Undead Mom’s Club

When Molly Harper was eight years old, she set up a “writing office” in her parents’ living room, complete with an old manual typewriter and a toy phone. And she (very slowly) pecked out the story of her third-grade class taking a trip around the world and losing a kid in each city. She had a dark sense of humor even then.

When Molly was considerably older, she headed for Western Kentucky University, where she majored in print journalism. After graduation, she landed a job with The Paducah Sun and married her high school sweetheart, David, a local police officer. After six years at the newspaper, Molly took a more family-friendly secretarial position at a local church office.

Her husband worked nights and Molly was alone with their small child in the “The Apartment of Lost Souls.” A big fan of vampire movies and TV shows, she decided to write a vampire romance novel. Molly created Jane Jameson, a bit of an accidental loser. Jane is single, almost 30, and a librarian working in Half-Moon Hollow, Ky. She has become a permanent fixture on her Mama’s prayer list. And despite the fact that she’s pretty good at her job, she just got canned so her boss could replace her with someone who occasionally starts workplace fires. Jane drowns her sorrows at the local faux nostalgia-themed sports bar. On her way home, she’s mistaken for a deer and shot by a drunk hunter. And then she wakes up as a vampire. The three-book Jane Jameson series–which includes Nice Girls Don’t Have Fangs,Nice Girls Don’t Date Dead Men and Nice Girls Don’t Live Forever—was released in 2009.  A fourth and final installment, Nice Girls Don’t Bite Their Neighbors, was released in 2012.

Molly continues stories in the Jane Jameson universe through her Half-Moon Hollow series,Driving Mr. Dead, The Care and Feeding of Stray Vampires, Undead Sublet, and The Dangers of Dating a Rebound Vampire. The next title, The Single Undead Mom’s Club will be released in October 2015. Molly updated her popular Naked Werewolf romance series in 2013. How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf, was released in February 2011, quickly followed by The Art of Seducing a Naked Werewolf. A third installment, How to Run With a Naked Werewolf, was released in December 2013. Her first-ever “haunted house story,” Better Homes and Hauntings, was released in June 2014.

Molly’s books are published by Pocket Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster. They are available in print, as e-books and audio books at major book stores and on Amazon. Molly is a native of Kentucky. She lives in Paducah with her husband and children.

Now that you have met the ladies lets get started.

Hi Molly and Amanda,

I am super excited to have you both on the blog again. I love you both dearly!!!   I want to thank you for taking time out of your busy schedules to sit down and talk with me about Molly’s newest release The Single Undead Moms Club and of course the amazing Amanda will be narrating this book.

Ladies, for my follower who missed how much I love you too or for my new followers can you each tell me a little about yourselves.

Molly: I’m a former newspaper-reporter-turned-church secretary-turned-romance-writer. (That’s the normal career trajectory, right?) I’m the author of the Nice Girls vampire series and the Naked Werewolf series, plus several contemporary romances. I live in western Kentucky with my high school sweetheart/husband and our children.

Amanda: I grew up in the country in upstate New York without a TV, so reading Molly’s books (with her references to the deep cuts of American pop culture) has forced me into many searches of the internet-machine to look up TV of the 20th century that I missed growing up. Thank you, Molly. I am an actor who ended up getting to do audiobooks, which is a great pleasure of mine. Early on in my audiobook career I got my first Molly Harper book to narrate. And I knew immediately that it was special.

Molly, can you tell us what we can expect from Single Undead Moms Club.

Molly: Adorable and preciously snarky children! Hot tattooed single dads! Mean girls in the PTA!

Oh, and our hero and heroine have sex in an abandoned tobacco cult barn. I always forget that one.

Amanda, I heard a rumor that this story may or may not have made you cry a time or two. Can you confirm these rumors?

Amanda: Wow. There are no secrets around here! I get teary when people overcome adversity in a more supernatural and less whiny way than I would.

*looks around* Is that Molly’s evil laugh in the back ground?

Molly: MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Amanda, what is your favorite thing about narrating Molly’s stories?

Amanda: The characters are great. The humor, of course, is fun and the writing is just so smooth and emotionally true, which makes it a joy to read.

Molly, what is your favorite things about having Amanda narrator your books and bring your characters to life for your readers?

Molly: She totally gets the inflection and the timing needed to get the humor right. I swear, you would think that she’d spent hours talking to me to get that tone down, but she did it without even contacting me once.

Can you share a snippet of The Single Undead Moms Club?

Suddenly, the door popped open and smacked me in the forehead, knocking me back on my heels.

“Oof!” I cried, clutching my face. Thank goodness I had rapid healing powers, because I was pretty sure I’d just sustained a concussion.

“Are you OK?” a gruff voice demanded.
“What the hell— Who are you?” I demanded.
“I’m the guy with the keys to this closet. Who are you?”
My eyes went wide. This was the school janitor?

The contemporary school janitor was made from a slightly different mold. Tall, lean, almost wiry, with respectable cords of muscles rippling over arms covered in a swirling cloud of colorful tattoos. His face was long and lean, with sharp features only softened by a scruff of white-blond beard and longish darker blond hair that brushed against the collar of his T-shirt. If Thor had a pissed-off, tattooed younger brother, he would be the guy blocking my exit from the supply closet.

“I came in here for a fresh shirt,” he said, nodding toward the flannel shirts hanging neatly from hooks on the closet wall. “The air conditioner was on the fritz . . .” He stared down at the ruined doorknob. “What the hell did you do to the door?”

“Nothing!” I exclaimed, but I hid my hands behind my back as if it would keep me from being caught red-handed.

“What are you even doing in here?” he demanded. “You don’t have any good reason to be in here, damaging school property. What the hell is wrong with you parents? Ya know, just ’cause you pay taxes doesn’t mean you own the school!”

“I got turned around.”

“Well, turn back around and get out.” He jerked his thumb toward the open door behind him as he shrugged out of his sweat-stained gray Half-Moon Hol- low Howlers T-shirt and into a blue cotton uniform workshirt with “Wade” stitched on the breast pocket.

My jaw dropped. Who the hell was this guy, and who did he think he was, bossing me around? Nobody had talked to me like this in . . . well, I couldn’t remember the last time someone talked to me with such an irritated tone, certainly not since I became a tragic terminally ill widow. I’d been treated with kid gloves lined with cotton balls for the past two years.

And holy Hades, he had even more tattoos underneath the shirt. Even with my super-vision, I couldn’t take in the details in the brief glimpse I got. Still, I got a good look at the big picture, and the picture was pretty damn nice. Long, sinewy arms, a broad chest, and a flat stomach tapering to hip bones that jutted out just a few inches above the waistline of his worn jeans.

How perverse was it that between the pretty face, the tattoos, and the surliness, I was actually beginning to feel the faint stirrings of attraction? Fine, they weren’t so much faint stirrings as a deep, reverberating echo between my thighs, like a super-dirty version of those Tibetan meditation bells.

“Just as an FYI, in case the policy manual is outside your reading-comprehension level, most school employees don’t strip in front of parents.”

As soon as the words left my mouth, I regretted them. Why had I said that? That was mean. But my insult hadn’t even fazed “Wade,” who was waving me toward the door. “Keep walking, Bree.”

“My name isn’t Bree.”

He scoffed. “Your names are always ‘Bree’ or ‘Krissy’ or ‘Elizabeth.’ And then you slap it on everythin’ you own, including those stupid little stick figures you stick on the backs of your minivans.”

“It’s Libby,” I shot back.

“Which is short for Elizabeth. Thanks for proving my point.”

“Do us all a favor and try to develop a nicer attitude before the kids come back to school.”

“I don’t need to. The kids know better than to go where they’re not wanted!” he shot back as I walked out to find a bemused Jane Jameson standing outside the closet.

Molly: When writing a Jane or Half Moon Hollow story do you ever think “Oh, poor Amanda is going to kill me for that”?

Only while writing sex scenes. I know that humorous stuff, she will throw her voice into whole-heartedly. But there are times when I’ll use a certain word or describe an act and think of poor Amanda trying to make eye contact with the sound engineer after recording it.

Amanda, Is there ever a time when you are narrating and you think “What the heck Molly?” or “Do I really have to read that part out loud?”

Amanda: Nah. I used to get all blushy about the sexy stuff, but I am mature now. And I can handle it.

Molly, what is the best or hardest part of writing The Single Undead Moms Club?

Molly: Getting Danny (the son’s) voice right. Because he’s based on my own 7-year-old, Carter, and while Carter has this wonderful dry and creative sense of humor, I realize that not all kids sound like him when he speaks. Also, I wanted to balance those heartwarming moments of parenthood without coming across as too schmaltzy.

Molly, what is next in the Half-Moon Hollow Series?

Molly: FANGS FOR THE MEMORIES, a flashback story featuring Dick and Andrea, comes out in print, ebook and audio in November.

Molly: What other secret projects are you working on?

Molly: I’m working on something for a younger audience. That’s all I can say.

Molly, because I love hearing all about your kids. Please ask them: My mom is the best mom ever except when she…….

Darcy: Does the “I told you so” dance. She even does jazz hands.

Carter: Tells me I can only have one dessert.

Let’s take a look at The Single Undead Mom’s Club

25101899

In the next book in Molly Harper’s Half Moon Hollow paranormal romance series, Libby (a widow-turned-vampire) struggles with her transition, and finds out it sucks to be the only vampire member of the PTA…

Widow Libby Stratton arranged to be turned into a vampire after she was diagnosed with late-stage cancer. It wasn’t the best idea she’s ever had, but she was desperate—she’s not about to leave her seven-year-old son to be raised by her rigid, overbearing in-laws.

On top of post-turning transition issues, like being ignored at PTA meetings and other mothers rejecting her son’s invitations for sleepovers, Libby must deal with her father-in-law’s attempts to declare her an unfit mother, her growing feelings for Wade—a tattooed redneck single dad she met while hiding in a closet at Back to School Night—and the return of her sire, who hasn’t stopped thinking about brave, snarky Libby since he turned her.

With the help of her new vampire circle, Libby negotiates this unfamiliar quagmire of legal troubles, parental duties, relationships, and, as always in Harper’s distinct, comedic novels, “characters you can’t help but fall in love with” (RT Book Reviews).

Welcome to Storm, Texas, where passion runs hot, desire runs deep, and secrets have the power to destroy…

Nestled among rolling hills and painted with vibrant wildflowers, the bucolic town of Storm, Texas, seems like nothing short of perfection.

But there are secrets beneath the facade. Dark secrets. Powerful secrets. The kind that can destroy lives and tear families apart. The kind that can cut through a town like a tempest, leaving jealousy and destruction in its wake, along with shattered hopes and broken dreams. All it takes is one little thing to shatter that polish.

NUMBER OF HEARTS: 4
Yet another great episode in Rising Storm. I love the every story takes us one step closer to everyone’s secrets blowing up and bringing a major storm that will be hard for the residents of Strom, Texas to survive.

I really hoped that Marcuse and Brit might be the one couple who would not have to the town’s curse for drama  Because I am convinced that the town of Storm, Texas is indeed cursed with bad luck and a huge case of liar-ism (this is my made up word for one that can not tell the truth).

But just like every good soap I will be tuning into the next episodes to see what happens next.

Perfect gift for a Book lover or teacher, or librarian or someone who enjoys reading with a cup of tea, this mug has a lot to read on it. I designed it to resemble a book itself- the front reads TEA & BOOKS The Greatest Love Story Ever Written By Paige Turner. “Tea and books are the new Coffee and a Newspaper”

Inside the mug towards the top it reads: Books and Brew. The handle is designed to look like pages. Glazed a mint chocolate chip green.

and secrets have the power to destroy…

Nestled among rolling hills and painted with vibrant wildflowers, the bucolic town of Storm, Texas, seems like nothing short of perfection.

But there are secrets beneath the facade. Dark secrets. Powerful secrets. The kind that can destroy lives and tear families apart. The kind that can cut through a town like a tempest, leaving jealousy and destruction in its wake, along with shattered hopes and broken dreams. All it takes is one little thing to shatter that polish.

Reading like an on-going drama in the tradition of classic day and night-time soap operas like Dallas, Dynasty, and All My Children, Rising Storm is full of scandal, deceit, romance, passion, and secrets.

REVIEW PROVIDED BY: Kelly

NUMBER OF HEARTS: 3 1/4
And the plot thickens.  Like any good soap we can’t have anything go smoothly can we?  Nope that would be to easy.  Plus what fun would a soap be if there was no drama?

I do believe that the small town of Strom, Texas more than likely could live with a little less drama, but I don’t see that happening anytime soon.

In Dance In the Wind we get to see the return of Logan Murphy the local town hero.  But Logan comes back with a lot of demons and secrets.   Luckily, he finds someone he can share his secrets with.  Someone who will listen to him.  Someone he can trust will never betray or lie to him.

This series leaves you wanting more, wanting the next episode and hoping beyond hope that there will indeed be a happy ending for all involved.   But with some of the newest secrets revealed I am not sure how that is going to happen.

Until the next episode.  Watch your back, because you never know who is going to stab you next.

The Ludzecky Sister Series Banner

Begin Again
(Ludzecky Sisters #1)
by Kathryn Shay

BEGIN AGAIN tells the story of Paulina Ludzecky who, since her husband died three years ago, runs a contracting business with her twin, Antonia. She’s ready to dip her toes in romance, when she meets Adam Armstrong, the architect on the new music hall her company is building.

For Adam, opposites attract and he’s drawn to this no-nonsense, down-to-earth girl next door. She’s equally interested in him though he’s too different from her to settle down with. But alpha male Adam has other plans for Paulina and isn’t about to let her go, even when Paulina has trouble with committing to him. Sex, yes! Love, no! This second chance at love story will tug on your heartstrings.

Excerpt:

Prologue

The Ludzecky family was well acquainted with tragedy, but none as horrific as this one.

The matriarch, Donuta Ludzecky, affectionately known as Matka, sat in the front pew of a Catholic church next to her best friend, Rosie Pettrone. The woman had suffered the worst loss any mother could have visited on her—losing a child or, in this case, losing two. Twin boys. Twenty-eight years old. The driver of a truck had barreled through a red light and crumpled the front of the car. The boys were killed instantly. They had been married to Paulina and Antonia, Donuta’s two daughters. Like the good Polish woman that she was, Donuta sat stalwart, holding back any display of her own emotions. Of course, she suffered with and for her friend. But she also could not help thinking of the effect this obscene event would have on her eight children.

Her gaze traveled first to her twin girls, dressed in black, shoulders hunched, sitting on either side of Rosie. Antonia had dissolved into tears the moment they had walked into church and had not stopped crying. Lukasz had to take care of her two-year-old son, who cried into his uncle’s chest. Paulina, stronger both physically and emotionally than Nia, had slid her arms around her boys, and remained stone-faced. The crying would come later for her, Donuta knew. And their lives would never be the same without their men. Donuta had learned that fact from the death of her own husband when she was in her forties.

Her gaze landed on Lukasz. He and his wife, Kelsey, had come down from Binghamton after the accident happened. Their near-perfect lives had been hard-won, and now their happiness would be shadowed by their sisters’ trauma. And Lukasz would suffer over living four hours away from the family. Next in age, Caterina was content as a mother, working in linguistics for the Secret Service, very much in love with her husband Aidan O’Neil. She would want to protect the girls, which would be impossible. She had already made plans to stay in Queens with them for three weeks.

Ana, the third oldest, had helped take care of Donuta’s other children, especially when more babies had come along and Donuta was in the hospital, giving birth or, twice, with exhaustion. Though Ana was happily married with one child, she would smother her twin sisters, trying to make things right for them.

Magdalena, a year younger than Ana, would take over the logistics. A successful businesswoman, she would try to organize, strategize and “fix” whatever she could for her sisters. She did not yet know there was no fixing tragedy, that the girls needed to simply grieve, but Magdalena believed she could do anything she set her mind to.

And then there was Sofia, who had had tragedy of her own. At sixteen, she had been diagnosed with leukemia. The treatment had forced her to give up her dancing aspirations. This one would go into herself unless someone stopped her. Donuta hoped her quiet daughter, fragile, thin as a willow, could withstand the sorrow that had come their way.

And last was Elizabeita. Who knew what the baby of the family would do? Bright enough to be a Rhodes Scholar and earn two degrees at Oxford, pretty enough to be a model and bold enough to sky dive and jump off cliffs, the girl had been impossible to control all her life. Donuta worried about her. How would this one handle the overwhelming grief?

When the priest asked them to stand, Donuta chided herself. She was thinking about her family’s welfare, and here was poor Rosie, who had suffered such loss. However, the fact remained: Donuta would be a friend in every way, but her role as Matka would make her priority her children, as always.

Risky Business
(Ludzecky Sisters Series #3)
by Kathryn Shay

Magdalena Ludzecky is a career woman extraordinaire. A child prodigy, she’s worked her way into a successful private equity firm by the time she was twenty-four. Seven years later, she’s still the gentle, good-hearted sister who hasn’t forgotten her roots, but in business she’s a force to be reckoned with. She’s a woman who has everything, including Logan Price, her coworker and her best friend outside of the family. They support each other through tragedy and loss, vacation together and make million dollar deals together.

But suddenly, they find attraction growing between them. And no, they both think, this can’t happen! They like the status quo. An office romance is unthinkable. It doesn’t seem to be up to them, though, as fate intervenes and brings them together as lovers. Yet fate can be cruel, too, and pulls them apart when Logan’s circumstances change dramatically. Does this friends to lovers romance have a chance or are Logan and Magdalena going to lose each other forever?

Handle with Care
(Ludzecky Sisters Series #5)
by Kathryn Shay

Of all the Ludzecky sisters, Sofia is the calmest one. She’s had to be. Diagnosed with leukemia at sixteen, the disease has affected her entire life. When bad things have happened to her—her father’s death, her Secret Service sister and brother getting shot, the deaths of her brothers-in-law–Sofia has gone into herself and found the strength to help them out and also take care of herself. The easy going, laid back lifestyle suits her and she likes it. Her chosen profession is as a yoga instructor and owner of Serenity Yoga, which enhances this way of living.

Football Coach Max Walker doesn’t know what to make of this sweet, demure and pretty woman who is hired by his high school to teach yoga to students. But he’s part of the Physical Education department and has to deal with her every day. Soon he comes to learn how special she is, and though he steered clear of romance with another teacher, he’s drawn to her. But she shies away from him—big time. Why? Women usually flock to Max.

Little does he know that his outgoing personality, his rabid bent for competition and his boisterous athletic family upset her. Opposites attract is not true in her case. But Max wants her, and he’s always gotten what he wants.

Love Story
(Ludzecky Sisters Series #6)
by Kathryn Shay

Elizabeita Ludzecky is two different women: one the risk-taking, hip, wild child in the Ludzecky family. Her other side is the Rhodes Scholar and businesswoman who works at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The problem is she doesn’t know which is the real her. But what she does understand is the secret she carries inside her, and how it’s helped her survive a family fraught with tragedy.

Hardened cop Nick Casella decides to leave the NYPD because of his distaste for anti-police sentiment that developed after several high profile shootings were not prosecuted in the courts. But he’s asked to be part of a task force for the NYPD, an undercover unit specializing in unique crimes. He’s sent to the Met, ostensibly as a new employee do to set ups and other odd jobs. The famous museum has been besieged by odd emails, hackers and maybe even a stalker.

Nick works with Elizabeita when they put up a new exhibit and, at first, is not at all charmed by her winsomeness, her upbeat attitude about life or her sexy charisma. She’s a baby anyway, as he has more than a decade on her. But she’s getting the emails, too, and might be a victim, so he has to spend time with her. When she sets her sights on him, his first instinct is to run in the other direction. Soon, that changes dramatically. With secret and lies as the basis of a relationship, especially an older man/younger woman romance, does it have any chance of surviving?
