Did you know that the Dallas Infomart was based on London’s Crystal Palace and then declared as the successor to the palace itself?
Did you know that a coven can also refer to a group of vampires? So you need to make it clear which mythology, country, and time period you are trying to work with.
Did you know that in the Those who Wander universe (where the Diaries series takes place) vampires are closer to fairies than any other breed?
Though some details of my research will never land on the page, each thing I learn about my universe as well as the way the world works makes the universe (and frankly my life) more interesting.
NINE LIVES OF AN URBAN PANTHER
by Amanda Arista
Dear Diary,
With new supernatural creatures popping up at every turn (Ghouls?
Really?), the city divided, and my long-lost cousin blazing into town,
I’ve got a lot on my mind. Oh, not to mention I’m supposed to be planning a wedding. Chaz has got to be the best, most patient (and probably clinically
insane) fiance around.
But defeating my sworn enemy in a battle for the souls of Dallas is going to
require more than just my full attention. It means learning to depend on
everyone—especially Chaz—if any of us are going to make it out of this alive.
Because if Plan A doesn’t work, I’m going to need them for Plan B.
And Plan C . . .
Avon has given me one E-ARC of Nine Lives of an Urban Panther to giveaway to one lucky follower.

I have been wanting to try one of Ms. Arista’s books. I read a lot of paranormal books and hers looks good. Thanks for the chance to win a copy of this one.
Do your books need to be read in order or are they able to be read alone?
